Mykelti Padron is has adapted quite well to being a first-time mother to baby Avalon. She’s relished every moment and milestone, especially the most recent one. With her husband Tony assisting, Avalon was shown walking as best she could. The tot will turn one next month and Mykelti took to social media to share the sweet baby’s strength- and her ‘death grip.’

Mykelti Padron Goes From Sweet Teen To Mother Bear

When Sister Wives first premiered in 2010, Mykelti was a silly and sweet teenager, blending in with her plural family. They were all adapting to the idea their father, Kody was taking on a fourth wife. Yet, it was a little easier for the older kids as they were in a polygamist school so this was common. Growing up, Mykleti had aspirations of going into fashion but eventually, she met Tony Padron in 2015. A year later, as her sister Maddie was getting married, Tony asked for Mykelti’s hand. Though her father Kody was trepidatious, her mother Christine wanted her daughter to be happy.

In the end, Kody consented and the two got married in December of 2016. Four years later,  they revealed they were expecting their first baby via video chat due to the pandemic. Luckily they were able to come to Flagstaff from Utah for the gender reveal. Christine was there for the birth and has since moved to Utah permanently. She is relishing every precious moment as an Oma. Mykelti clearly delights every smile and small memory she is making with baby Avalon, as well. Now, Avalon has taken to being a tad feisty and her mama is poking fun at her cub.

Avalon Holds On Tight

In a recent Instagram post, Mykelti Padron can be seen sitting on the couch with daughter Avalon Asa next to her. She may look all cute and sweet but she is grabbing onto her mama’s shirt so tightly, it will be stretched out by the time she is done. In the caption, Mykelti jokes that it is her “death grip” and has become quite common for the eleven-month-old as of late. Apparently, it is Avalon’s sign of affection as she has come to believe touching her mother 24/7 will ensure she will stay close. That is absolutely adorable.

Her followers could not help but chime in with similar stories and compliments for Mykleti’s mini. One shared this: “My youngest daughter was my shadow for a long time. We are all still really close. Motherhood is such a beautiful thing.” Another added: “My 11-month-old is the same way! You have done well!” Finally, people were blown away with how big she has gotten and that she will be a year next month. Most of all, they love how close the two are.

Can you believe Miss Avalon is almost a year old? Do any of you have relatable experiences to what Mykelti is going through right now with the “death grip” situation? Let us know in the comments.
