Pregnant Duggar contracted COVID
In late February, Jill and Derick Dillard surprised fans by announcing they’re expecting a new addition to the family. The news came along with photos of a very pregnant Jill. Baby number three will arrive in July of 2022, joining Samuel, 4, and Israel, 6.
However, the happy news soon turned to concern after Jill and her family tested positive for COVID.

Jill Duggar’s son tests positive for COVID
The former Counting On star took to her Instagram to share another update on the family’s recovery. She previously shared that she was “feeling better” but not completely recovered.
The latest social media post included snapshots of her adorable family’s day out to an abandoned playground. The photos included her sons, as well as her husband Derick. In fact, one person joked in the comments that they couldn’t tell who was having more fun – Derick or the kids.
“It’s difficult to tell who’s enjoying the play park more the little man or the big man who is still a kid at heart,” they wrote.
Jill Dillard shared more details on several slides on her Instagram Stories. According to Jill, she has now tested negative for COVID, as has her son Israel.
Sam is still testing positive. However, Jill didn’t seem concerned. She noted that people can test positive for a while after having COVID without being contagious. “Hoping we will all be totally clear soon,” she said.
Additionally, Jill shared the surprising news that Derick hasn’t been tested again since the initial positive test “11+” days prior. She didn’t say why he hasn’t been tested again.
His wife did say that his symptoms are gone.
Fans took to the post of the playground photos to share well wishes for Jil and her family. “So glad your feeling better,” one supporter said.
“Sunshine and breathing in the fresh air works wonders! Enjoy!” another added.
Derick stays silent on social media
Derick Dillard has been surprisingly quiet on social media since Josh Duggar’s conviction.
In fact, Dillard’s last Instagram post was the family’s pregnancy announcement on February 28, 2022.
Neither Jill or Derick has shared the reason behind his social media silence. However, Jill herself took a long break after her brother’s CSAM conviction.
