Tom Schwartz is speaking out since announcing his split from his wife Katie Maloney. Earlier this week, the Pump Rules couple shared they’re ending their marriage. This comes after weeks of speculation. The Sun was the first to confirm the divorce rumors.
However, the two wanted to share the news on their own accord. They were hoping to do it at some point. Yet, the tabloid kind of forced them to since they beat them to the punch. Schwartz has been spotted with his wedding ring looking heartbroken and upset. Find out how the TomTom co-manager is doing since announcing the news.
Tom Schwartz breaks his silence after announcing split
Tom Schwartz spoke to E! News about the split news. The 39-year-old wore a “Very Much Alive” hooded sweatshirt to make a sarcastic statement. The Bravo star said he was doing “okay” amid their split. Schwartz is focusing on the opening of Schwartz & Sandy’s, which is scheduled for this spring.
“I’m okay,” Tom Schwartz told E! News. “I’m getting parts of the bar right now. We’re busy with the bar, trying to get open asap… Lots of good things in motion.”
Schwartz and Katie talked about their family plans on Season 9 of Vanderpump Rules. At the time, he was planning to open a new bar with Tom Sandoval. The two wanted to do it without the help of Lisa Vanderpump following the success of TomTom. The Toms are focusing on the final details, leading up to its opening.
While Schwartz is feeling “okay,” he noted he’s “sad” about the end of their 12-year relationship. He’s hoping that his new business will keep him “busy.” Schwartz said they have nothing but love for one another. Despite The Sun’s previous report, the two are still living together for the time being.
“Of course I’m sad, but, you know, we still love each other much. And it’s healthy,” Tom Schwartz contained. “I’m doing okay. I’m staying busy.”
Takes responsibility for their split
Tom Schwartz also admitted his part in their split. He didn’t reveal what led to their break-up. However, he admitted fault on his part. The reporter mentioned Sandoval being involved with their marriage.
“No, no. That’s all on me. I wish I had a scapegoat, but that’s all me,” Tom Schwartz admitted. “It’s complicated, obviously. But nothing in particular. You know, life, you know. It’s complicated.”
He doesn’t know when Bravo will renew VPR for a tenth season. He says he’s “always optimistic” about the show’s return. What are your thoughts on what Tom Schwartz said about his split from Katie? Sound off below in the comment section.
