Tom Schwartz and Katie Maloney are stalling on this decision. Though the couple has split, they don’t want to make any moves yet. Yet, it didn’t take long for Schwartz to move out of their $1.9 million home. Also, Katie has been seen without her wedding ring.

Meanwhile, Schwartz doesn’t want to say the word “divorce” and still wears his wedding ring. It’s unclear who’s stalling amid their split. However, a new report claims that they don’t plan to file the divorce papers just yet. The “amicable split” has led them to live separate lives in the past few months.

On Tuesday, March 15, Tom Schwartz and Katie Maloney took to Instagram to announce their split. The “bubbas” are no longer together. There were signs on Katie’s social media account there was something wrong. Schwartz noted in his Instagram post that she made the decision.

“Well, this sucks. How am I supposed to capture 12 years of love in a f***in canned Instagram caption. I’m not quite ready to use the ‘D’ word bc it’s too painful,” Tom Schwartz wrote. “Yes, my heart aches but I’ll be ok. Fully respect Katie’s decision and we’ve had healthy, productive conversations about it. It would be far sadder if she decided to stay with me whilst not happy.”

Katie shared her own statement on her Instagram account. She revealed they are both on “different paths.” However, she said there is no “animosity” between them and they “will continue to love and support one another’s happiness.” Schwartz admitted the split was his fault.

On Wednesday, he confirmed to a photographer that his friendship with Tom Sandoval had nothing to do with their break-up. Tom Schwartz said he wished he “had a scapegoat” in this case. Fans have been wondering what Schwartz did to cause their split. It seems like Katie is over their marriage, but they’ll be dragging on this latest move.

An insider told Us Weekly that Tom Schwartz and Katie Maloney are taking their time to file the divorce papers. It may take as much time as it did to sign the marital papers. The former couple got married in 2016. However, they weren’t officially married until 2019 since Schwartz forgot to file the papers.

“It’s not easy for them to just completely separate after being together for so long,” the source told Us Weekly. “They share the same friend group and will still be part of each other’s lives in some way or another. They’re both going to continue to support each other and the businesses they’re pursuing.”
