Lack Of Bonking Played Role In Tom Schwartz & Katie Maloney Split?

Tom Schwartz and Katie Maloney had the kind of marriage that most older people do. The former couple admitted on the show there was very little action happening in their bedroom. Yet, that didn’t stop them from trying to have a baby. In Season 9 of Vanderpump Rules, the two explored options for starting a family.

Just last month, Schwartz said they’re holding out hope for starting a family. However, he admitted blame on his part. They acted more like roommates than a married couple, especially in the months leading up to their split. On Tuesday, March 1, both Katie and Schwartz announced that they were ending their marriage.

Lack of bedroom activities played a role in the split?

According to a new report, an obvious issue in Tom Schwartz and Katie Maloney’s marriage led to their split. The couple didn’t make time for “intimacy.” They haven’t fornicated for “quite a while,” according to an insider. Also, Schwartz and Katie couldn’t see “eye-to-eye” when it came to their future plans.

“They act like terrific roommates,” an insider told People on March 16.

The source added that they are still “a part of each other’s lives” despite their split. Schwartz wanted “more flexibility with his life.” Yet, Katie wanted “more of a traditional marriage.”

Another source shared the details with Us Weekly. Their differences caused them to fight more. Their apparent problems became obvious just a few months ago. The source said they “got into a lot of fights” before ending their marriage.

“They tried for a long time to make it work but the truth is they’ve been struggling as a couple these past few months,” the insider told Us Weekly.

Katie and Schwartz said in their statements they ended their marriage “amicably.” Yet, another insider claims that Katie “really wanted for it to be over.” Schwartz tried to make their relationship work, but the “issues” were still there. Katie wants to focus on her happiness.

Katie Maloney and Tom Schwartz had obvious problems

While the announcement of their split came as a shock to fans, they had obvious issues in their relationship. In January, Katie told Page Six they fight “a lot.” She admitted their marriage wasn’t perfect. They’re aware they don’t have the ideal marriage and they wanted to show that.

“Obviously, we are not perfect. We fight a lot. [But] we don’t try to hide our flaws… We don’t try to hide that we have issues and lie and try to maintain this perfect front.”

During the time, Katie said Pump Rules was “really helpful” for keeping them together for so many years. They wanted to show a relationship that wasn’t perfect. The pair used the show to share their problems with the world. At the time, Katie and Schwartz didn’t care what the viewers thought.
