Bachelor Nation is getting a little break from the show following Clayton Echard’s season of The Bachelor. Normally, The Bachelorette would begin airing in May. However, that has changed. Gabby Windey and Rachel Recchia were announced as the first full-season duo Bachelorettes on After the Final Rose. The shocking part came when it was also announced their season wouldn’t debut on-screen until July 11. So, where does this leave Bachelor in Paradise?
Is Bachelor in Paradise being canceled?
Since the July 11 premiere date was announced for Gabby and Rachel’s season of The Bachelorette, fans are wondering where that leaves Bachelor in Paradise. So far, show executives have yet to comment on the fate of the summer reality show.
What is known so far? Reality Steve has said that he wouldn’t be surprised if ABC decided to call it quits with Bachelor in Paradise. He said last season didn’t get very high ratings and it could be a sign it’s time to end it altogether. However, this is just his speculation, nothing has been confirmed.
Others wonder if starting The Bachelorette in July simply means that BIP will be pushed back further into maybe September.
There have been cast rumors floating around for BIP but that of course means nothing.
At this point, nobody knows what the fate of the show is. However, fans are already taking to social media begging ABC to not touch their summer fave.
Last summer on BIP
A few fantastic couples came out of Bachelor in Paradise last year. Noah Erb and Abigail Heringer ended up rekindling their romance post-show and are still going strong today.
Then, of course, Becca Kufrin and Thomas Jacobs also hooked up again post-show. They are also loving life together and there seems to be no end in sight for these two.
Kenny Braasch and Meri Peppin are also still happy and engaged. They recently moved in together in Chicago. No wedding date is set just yet but they do know it will be in Puerto Rico.
Joe Amabile and Serena Pitt are also still going strong. These two also got engaged on last summer’s season finale. They are working towards moving in together as well.
Some of the best Bachelor love stories have come out of Paradise.
What do you think will happen to the beloved summer hit? Is BIP gone for good?
