Finally Free: Was Kanye West Controlling Of Kim Kardashian?
Kim Kardashian is officially free from Kanye West. Now that she is though, people are speculating he might have been pretty controlling of her the whole time they were together. Was Kanye West toxic for the former Keeping up with the Kardashians star?
Was Kanye West controlling Kim?
There has been a lot of opinions coming out about Kanye West and how he has handled his divorce from Kim Kardashian. However, now, fans are exposing some of Kanye’s behavior during their relationship as well. Turns out, there were some times he seemed to be controlling her.
According to Buzzfeed News, this all stems from a video that went viral highlighting Kanye’s toxic behavior through the years. The most prevalent example was how he reacted to her 2019 Met Gala look she had initially planned on wearing and spent 9 months planning.
“You are my wife, and it affects me when pictures are too sexy,” Kanye originally told Kim Kardashian because she wanted to wear a corset.
Of course, she instantly came back questioning why Kanye was doing this to her now, just one night before the event.
“So, on the night before the Met, you’re gonna come in here and say that you’re not into a corset?” she asks. Kanye replies saying “I just feel like, I just went through this transition from being a rapper, looking at all these girls and looking at my wife, being like, My girl needs to be like all the other girls showing her body off, showing this, showing that.”
Fans are not happy
Fans did not take this reaction very well. Especially considering he knew who he was marrying when he married her.
- “Kanye literally married and had children with a curvaceous woman (natural or not, who gives a fuck) and is upset when she has curves in clothing and enjoys showing off her figure? What attracted you TO HER?” one person asks.
- “Does he expect Kim to drop all of this, things she LOVES, and things he USED TO LIKE, because he’s a little uncomfy?! Come on. I’m not saying he can’t like a more conservative dressing woman, but don’t try to change someone man,” another says.
Are his old ways behind him?
There’s no way of knowing yet if he will stop trying to control the women he is dating. However, things aren’t looking too good. For example, he recently dated Julia Fox. He says she is his muse and started sending her clothes to her hotel. Sound familiar? This seems to be a similar pattern to what he did with Kim Kardashian when he started taking control over what she was wearing.
Only time will tell if this is something Kanye always plans on doing or if he will change up his habits.
