Is Dave Hester Returning For Storage Wars Season 14?
Storage Wars Season 14 is coming back on Tuesday, March 8. Is Dave Hester back? We know that Dan and Laura Dotson are back, as well as Brandi Passante, Ivy Calvin, Rene and Casey Nezhoda, Kenny Crossley, Barry Weiss, and Darrell Sheets are some of the stars returning.
Could the antagonistic auctioneer, Dave Hester be back as well? Do we even know that he is still in the game? The past few years brought some challenges, including a health problem that stopped everything that he was doing.
Where has Dave Hester been?
Dave Hester Experienced Health problems
Back in 2019, Dave Hester spoke to TMZ. The OG Storage Wars antagonist revealed that he suffered a hemorrhagic stroke back in November 2018.
“The Mogel” explained the events that occurred that particular night. He woke up in the middle of the night. Dave was “feeling sick.” Worst of all, he was unable to breathe.
He was taken to the Newport Beach hospital. Dave Hester had a stroke. He spent many days in ICU.
At the hospital, he was put through a series of tests. The tests determined that the reality star suffered from sleep apnea. People with sleep apnea stop breathing when they sleep. This action hurts the heart because it takes away oxygen.
In Dave’s case, the “breathing stopped more than 100 times in an hour.” That is more than once a minute. Add high blood pressure to this mix, Dave explained that the combo “triggered the stroke.”
However, Hester did not just go home afterward. He had to spend time in a rehabilitation facility to walk again and do normal things like taking a shower.
Although he was not fully recovered, he was able to return to the work he loves. Unfortunately for the mercurial reality star, this has not always been easy.
Dave Hester’s Disaster!
Back in 2020, the Storage Wars OG was involved in a lawsuit over a $12,000 storage locker.
According to Legal Newsline, Hester lost a lawsuit against Public Storage. When he purchased the locker in Fountain Valley, that unit should not have been up for sale in the first place.
Storage lockers are only sold at auctions after several months of nonpayment. According to the contract, after that nonpayment, the locker is allowed to be sold at a public auction.
In this case, after the sale, Public Storage realized that the unit’s owner had been paid, and was up-to-date. They blamed a “computer error” for this grievous mistake.
However, Dave Hester sued Public Storage for alleging breach of contract and three other claims. The court dismissed the three unidentified claims. Both sides settled the breach of contract.
It turns out that Dave Hester did sign a form when he purchased the locker. In the end, after an investigation, the lawsuit determined that Hester was not under duress when he signed the form.
It should be noted that Dave didn’t do anything wrong. The storage locker should not have been up for sale. Moreover, this was just some very bad luck, and an unfortunate computer error.
Is Dave Hester Coming Back To Storage Wars?
Dave Hester is not returning for Storage Wars Season 14. He is not in the advertising, nor is he listed as one of the OGs.
