Tammy Slaton Not The Bad Guy ‘1000-Lb. Sisters’ Fans Think She Is?
Tammy Slaton has been losing popularity with fans of the TLC show 1000-Lb. Sisters. Her sister, Amy Halterman, has been able to make significant progress on her health goals during the three seasons the show has been on television. Tammy’s health, on the other hand, has steadily declined. This and her recent behavior has fans pinpointing her as the bad guy, but there may be underlying issues contributing to her actions.
Tammy Slaton Has Put A Strain On Her Relationships
The show got started when Tammy and her sister Amy decided to embark on a journey to lead healthier lives. Together, the pair weighed 1,000 pounds. From the start, Tammy didn’t take her health and fitness as seriously as Amy did. During the span of the show thus far, Amy has undergone bariatric surgery and she’s also given birth to a healthy baby boy. She’s got a second one on the way now.
Tammy, on the other hand, has continued to ignore the advice of doctors. She has actually put on weight since the show began. In Season 2, Tammy contracted COVID-19 and requires an oxygen tube to be able to breathe now. She stopped being able to breathe on her own after suffering from oxygen poisoning. Even though she has difficulty breathing, Tammy continued to vape.

Throughout Season 3 of 1000-Lb. Sisters, fans watched Tammy become the villain of the show. Viewers have watched Tammy steadily gain weight, ignoring her health and acting out towards those closest to her. She was shown bullying her siblings and putting a strain on every possible relationship she has. She fought with people that were trying to help her get healthy. Tammy even threatened a physical altercation with their older sister, Amanda. Now, she doesn’t have much of a support system left.
At one point, fans started to grow tired of her actions. A few even called for her removal from the show. However, others stood up for Tammy.
Fans Think Her Health Condition May Be Making Her Act Out
Some fans have spoken out on Tammy’s behalf saying that her breathing problems could be contributing to her behavior. The reality star’s lack of oxygen and difficulty breathing could make her more irritable. In general, a lack of oxygen can cause mood swings and make people anxious. A few viewers pointed out that, in a few shots, Tammy’s lips even looked bluish around the edges.

While there isn’t any excuse for how she treated the members of her family, her breathing problems could be the main reason people see her as a villain. There is no doubt that Tammy still needs to take responsibility for her actions though.
Fans hope Tammy Slaton will return to Season 4 able to breathe a little better from her time in rehab. Maybe then she will be able to gain the support of some of her family members again.
