Jill Dillard’s Pregnancy Announcement Snubbed By Parents & Siblings
Over the weekend, Jill Dillard shared the exciting news that she’s pregnant with her third child. She and her husband, Derick Dillard, already share two sons, Israel, 6, and Samuel, 4. Fans were very happy to hear the news from Jill and Derick. However, it doesn’t look like Jill received the same response from her family.
If you’re a Duggar fan, you probably know that there’s some distance between Jill and her parents, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar. She’s been open about setting boundaries with her parents and admitted that they aren’t always invited to events and gatherings. It’s unclear what exactly caused this. But fans assume it has something to do with Jill and Derick leaving TLC’s Counting On or them choosing to live their lives in a different way. Derick has also said he’s writing a tell-all book about the Duggar family.
From what fans have seen on social media, it looks like Jill Dillard and her parents get along to an extent. But now, after her parents didn’t comment on her pregnancy announcement, it’s unclear just how close they really are.
Jill Dillard’s parents and some siblings ignore her big news.
After Jill shared the announcement on social media, she did get a couple of comments from her sisters. But the majority of the Duggar family hasn’t said a word about her big announcement.
Often, Jim Bob and Michelle will re-share their kids’ important posts on their own Instagram page. But they haven’t shared Jill’s pregnancy announcement at this point.
Jana Duggar and Jessa Seewald appear to be the only siblings who have commented on Jill’s posts so far. Because Jill shared multiple posts about her pregnancy announcement, her siblings and parents had multiple opportunities to comment. Jessa shared that she “loves the announcement photo.” Jana congratulated her sister and shared how excited she is.
Duggar cousin Amy King also chimed in, writing, “What a sweet picture!! Couldn’t be happier for y’all!!”
Of course, it’s possible that some of Jill Dillard’s relatives are taking social media breaks or might have congratulated her in person or in a more personal way, such as a phone call or text message.
So, do you think that the Duggar family intentionally snubbed Jill Dillard’s pregnancy announcement posts? Or do you think they might have chosen to congratulate her in private? Share your thoughts in the comments section below. For more news about the Duggars, come back to TV Shows Ace.
