Carlin Bates Shares Exciting Baby Boy Update
Bringing Up Bates star Carlin Bates has returned to social media with an exciting update about her baby boy. She and her husband, Evan Stewart, also share two-year-old, Layla Rae Stewart. So, what’s the latest with their baby boy?
Carlin is currently pregnant with her second child, a boy, who’s due in April. He will be here very soon, so there are lots of things for Evan and Carlin to get ready.
Throughout her pregnancy, Carlin has been sharing many photos and videos with fans to keep them in the loop. While she did have some health concerns, it looks like everything is going well so far. She has regular doctor’s appointments to continue monitoring the little guy as he grows.
Recently, Carlin spilled the beans on one part of her son’s name. At this point, they have a few first names selected and will choose one when they meet the baby. For his middle name, they will likely use Patrick, which is a family name among Evan’s relatives.
Now, Carlin Bates is back with another update, and it’s a pretty big deal. What’s up with the baby boy?

Right now, Carlin and Evan are still waiting to see whether they get the house they want. They put an offer in on a second house and can only get it if the current owners find a house. So, while they wait, they need to set up a nursery at their current home.
Evan admits that they are “maxed out” on space. Between Layla’s room and their bedroom, there is very little space for the baby boy. But they’re finding a way to make it work.
In the video, Carlin says they’re going to place the bassinet in front of the mirror in their bedroom. So, it’ll be close enough to the bed to make nighttime feedings a breeze.
In the video, Evan and his daughter, Layla, work on building the bassinet. Carlin Bates says that it’s giving her “all the feels” as she thinks about the baby boy’s upcoming arrival and enjoys setting up his space.
The bassinet is the only thing they have set up for the baby boy so far. But they will give him a full nursery once they get a house. When they do, fans can look forward to lots of pictures and videos of the completed space.
