‘Welcome To Plathville’: Did Max Hook Up With Moriah For Clout?
On Welcome to Plathville, fans got to see Max Kallschmidt and Moriah Plath’s relationship begin. Everything from their first date to him picking out a promise ring for her was documented on the TLC show. However, now fans are curious about Max’s intentions. Is it possible that he only went out with Moriah for clout?
If you’ve been following the family on social media, you may know that rumors are circulating about Moriah and Max calling things off. She hasn’t posted pictures of him in months and dodges any questions she receives about him. Likewise, Max doesn’t post about Moriah anymore. On YouTube, Max recently shared a video, explaining his side of the story and revealing where he stands with Moriah.
As it turns out, they have split. He also revealed that he won’t be on Season 4 of Welcome to Plathville, seemingly confirming that the show will continue.

Fans are speculating that Max might have only dated Moriah to gain more fans and followers. His Instagram page has over 78,000 followers, many of which began following him after he appeared on TLC.
He also has a page for his marketing company, which only has 1,000 followers. But with such a large audience on his main account, perhaps he hopes to gain customers, thanks to Welcome to Plathville.
Though Max and Moriah have split up, he still seems to have a friendship with her sister, Lydia Plath. He recently hopped online to wish her a happy birthday, which fans thought he might be doing for clout. On Reddit, one fan wrote, “He’s just a clout goblin.”
As we previously reported, Ethan Plath called out Max for his actions. When a fan commented and called Max “selfish” and claimed he was only on the show for clout, Ethan replied, “This is dead on!! Thanks for seeing through his BS.” However, Ethan quickly deleted his comment.
Of course, we don’t know Max’s true intentions. But many Welcome to Plathville fans are convinced that he may be after clout.
