‘Doubling Down With The Derricos:’ Is Deon & Karen’s Family Complete With 14 Kids?
TLC’s Doubling Down With the Derricos fans are loving the third season of the series, which kicked off this week. They are captivated by Deon and Karen Derrico’s large family. Though the couple is very busy with their 14 kids, fans are wondering if their family is officially done growing just yet.
Karen is 41 years old now, so Doubling Down With the Derricos fans might think she’s about done having children. But others think she might continue getting pregnant as long as she can. Now, the couple has opened up about their plans for the future of their family.
On the TLC show, fans have gotten to know Deon, Karen, and their brood. Their 14 kids include Darian, 15, Derrick, 10, Dallas and Denver, 9, Deonee, Daician, Daiten, Deniko and Dariz, 7, Diez and Dior, 4, Dawsyn, De’Aren, and Dyver, 2, Sadly, Karen had a miscarriage in late 2020.
Doubling Down With the Derricos stars Deon & Karen open up about what’s ahead.
In an interview with Us, Deon and Karen chatted about the size of their family and whether they plan to add to it. Deon said, “We have not shut the factory down, and I can’t tell you when we will, to be honest. From my perspective, I just have that empty nester fear. I want to always have a child, a baby, in the house with us. That’s how I feel.”
Karen added, “I can’t say that I am 100 percent there yet as far as [our family] being complete.”
Then, she continued, “I enjoy my pregnancies. I enjoy the journey. I enjoy breast-feeding. I enjoy all of that. Although I am high risk and have to go on bedrest, things of that nature, I still enjoy the process.”
It sounds like fans will have to wait and see whether Karen and Deon add another little one to their family. They seem to love being parents, so they might want to add another baby or two to their family. They aren’t ready to make a final decision quite yet, it seems.
