‘Darcey And Stacey’ Season 3 Finale Recap- Feb. 21
Last time on Darcey and Stacey, the girls had their show at Miami Fashion Week. The biggest hiccup was that Georgi and Florian did not like their bathing suits. Luckily, the team got new looks overnighted to them so the men felt more comfortable. Stacey is desperate to move to Miami so she set up an apartment tour for her and Florian. He was not thrilled since he feels the places are too lavish. Plus it was five grand and he finally has a chance to work in Connecticut. She agreed they can wait on the idea but he needs to compromise. Stacey proposed they have a fabulous wedding in Miami.
Georgi has been doing all he can to prove he has changed so he asked if they could stay in Miami a little longer. He took Darcey and her girls on an underwater adventure. Though she had fun, she worried about how he was paying for all of it. He said he put it on his credit card and was hopeful his rose oil business would take off. In the end, her daughters helped surprise her at the beach with something bigger Georgi had planned. He is going to propose to her once again. Now the ball is in her court to see if he has changed.
A Big Surprise On Darcey And Stacey
Georgi is so excited because, at sunset, he will re-propose to Darcey. He brought back the original ring and upgraded it. The last proposal was kind of off because she thought he was going to break up with her. This time he is including her daughters. Furthermore, he knows she is worried about his finances but he is hopeful she will say yes. Aniko got a text that they needed to cover Darcey’s eyes when they arrived. They were a little nervous but went with it. She is so blown away by the white decorated table on the back covered in flowers.
Georgi instructs Darcey to stand in a certain spot and cover her eyes. He gets down on one knee and when she opens her eyes, there he is with a ring. Georgi proposes once again and all the ladies are shocked. She immediately says yes and kisses him. A year ago, Darcey does not think they were truly ready to be engaged but now, they are much better off. Her girls have never seen someone get proposed to so this is magical.
He asks if they would want him to be their stepdad and they say they are. They have spent more time with him and being a part of this proposal has changed everything. Darcey feels the couple has transparency and openness, she is happy and that is all that matters for her. The next step is to head home and share the news with her sister.
Heading Home And Breaking The News
Darcey is getting ready to go home from Miami and says this engagement is unlike any other. Unfortunately, the car they have to drive to the airport won’t close because of all of the luggage. Finally, it closes and back to Connecticut they head. Darcey and Stacey meet for lunch at a restaurant and Stacey had no idea that Georgi proposed. She shares she believes Georgi has changed a lot then goes on to talk about their last night. Darcey talks about how he got down on one knee, proposed, and she said yes.
Surprisingly, Stacey does not shame her because she knows what her sister went through. She knows how much Darcey loves Georgi and just wants her to be happy. That’s when Darcey brings up the idea of them having the twin wedding again. This was an idea they had back when Darcey had first gotten engaged to Georgi but now Stacey has her own plans with Florian. She is not so sure she wants to share that special day with her sister anymore.
Stacey takes Florian to get pizza and is waving an American flag and pulls out a bunch of stuff related to America. She is excited to celebrate that Florian has gotten his Green Card which now opens so many doors for him. When a producer asks him what he loves about America, he says he loves the ability to sue people. He also is finally able to work and is has his modeling portfolio so he is happy to help.
A Darcey And Stacey Twin Wedding?
Stacey shares with Florian how her sister is engaged to Georgi again and how she wants to do the twin wedding. He is a little nervous about the idea of doing it because it is a financial commitment. Florian wants to make sure Georgi is pulling his weight this time around if a twin wedding is even an option. This includes Georgi contributing financially. In the end, he is willing to try but will shut it down if there is any drama. Stacey can foresee some drama with her sister but time will tell.
The twins are going to get their behinds worked on and lifted since they never had anything done to it. It will make them feel as if they’ve done 20,000 squats. Darcey asks if Stacey has talked to Florian about the twin wedding. She says yes but that he has concerns. Since he will be contributing to the wedding, Georgi should be as well. Darcey does not care because it is a fifty/fifty split.
As long as her portion is paid, it should not matter where it comes from. Stacey says as long as Darcey is happy, she wants to walk down the aisle with her. They are moving forward with their plans and are excited about the twin wedding. Now they have to tell their father. That should be an interesting moment. They might get the chance when they go say goodbye to their old home.
Bye-Bye Home, Telling Dad About The Wedding
Papa Mike Silva has sold the home the twins have lived in for so long and has been looking for a new one. He has been so busy, he has not heard that Darcey is engaged again. The girls, their men, and Aniko and Aspen are headed over to say their last goodbyes to the house. It also will allow Darcey to tell her dad what is going on in her life. Aniko and Aspen are so excited to be bridesmaids while Darcey talks about writing her own vows. She explains her first wedding was at the church so the Bishop did everything.
When Stacey and Florian come down to the car, Darcey immediately addresses the twin wedding concerns. She says that there are hopes for his rose oil business. In Georgi’s confessional, he notes that Florian has his Green Card but has yet to make any money. This is not going to end well. They all pull up to their home of fifteen years and it is hard for them. The twins have to thank their father for the opportunity to have grown up there and they had it blessed when they moved there.
They decide to do one last blessing for the new owners. Everyone walks back into the home for their last supper which is pizza and is bittersweet for Papa Mike. He has so many great memories of his grandkids in that house. It is determined the first meal in the new home will be pizza. He asks the twins if they want to eat but they say they are taking it all in. Too bad they are about to ruin dinner.
Darcey And Stacey’s Big News
It is time to tell their dad what happened in Miami. Darcey shares how she is engaged to Georgi once again. Then the twins announce they are having a twin wedding. It will be at the end of summer in Miami and Papa Mike is blown away. He says it is not great and even their mom is stunned. Papa Mike asks Darcey point-blank why she is getting married. She is shocked he would even question her like that and calls it bull.
Stacey is already married so it is no big deal but her sister is not ready to be married. He thinks she is making a big mistake. Papa Mike does not want her to make the same mistakes he has as he has been divorced three times. He asks if they have been to counseling and she says they have done a session with more to come. Mike laughs when she says one session. He tells her they need to learn how to communicate and they are not there. She feels Georgi has changed.
Mike is tired of the girls disrupting everyone’s lives when they want to do something. He is just frustrated when people he cares for do stupid things and won’t go to a twin wedding. Mike calls it a trainwreck so Florian calls for it to stop. The girls are at a complete loss.
Next week, for the first time in Darcey and Stacey history, there will be a tell-all. Will the twins still have a twin wedding or is that off the table? So many questions to be asked and answered.
