‘Sister Wives’: When Did Robyn Brown Join Kody’s Family?

Robyn Brown has been an important member of Sister Wives Kody Brown‘s family for quite some time. Even though Robyn was the last of Kody’s wives to join the growing family, she and Kody have been carrying on a strong bond since the day they first met.

Following her divorce in 2007 from her first husband David Jessop, Robyn first met Kody and his first wife Meri at a gathering hosted by Robyn’s cousin. Kody and Robyn had an instant connection. The two soon began courting with TLC’s camera capturing the relationship’s growth throughout Season 1 of Sister Wives.

Did Robyn Brown Plan To Take Over Control Of The Family?

Robyn joined the Brown family as Kody’s spiritual wife before the couple legally married in December of 2014. In 2015, one year following their wedding, Kody Brown legally adopted Robyn’s three children from her previous marriage to Jessop. In 2020, Kody Brown had been married – formerly legally, and now spiritually – to Meri for 30-years, wife Janelle spiritually for 27-years, Christine, spiritually only 26 years, and Robyn legally for 10-years.

However, as of November 2021, Kody Brown and Christine are no longer together. Earlier this month, according to People, Robyn Brown became very emotional when speaking of her husband Kody’s relationships with the other wives. TV Shows Ace reported that many believed that Robyn has seemingly taken over where Christine has left off.

Christine Brown Pushed Aside

The magazine reveals at the present time that Robyn is the only wife of Kody in which he is reportedly carrying on a fully functioning relationship. When speaking of the family’s relationship issues, Robyn opened up stating, “I just don’t know why they’re not figuring this stuff out and talking and finding a compromise.”

“I can’t fix it for them. I can try. But, I can only persuade, and try to influence,” she added.

At this time, Kody Brown refuses to discuss his relationship with his ex-Christine, per The Sun. 

Kody did reveal that he remains very hurt and angry with Christine for choosing to end their marriage. The subject is still very raw and Kody became very angry during the Sister Wives reunion special at the mention of Christine’s name. Despite Kody’s pain, witnesses close to the family situation claim that Christine’s departure comes as no surprise.

 Does Kody Brown Favor Robyn Brown Over His Other Wives?

“The big reason why Christine split from him is that Kody has been completely devoted to Robyn for the past five or six years. That hasn’t changed at all,” sources said about the split.

Fans are not thrilled with the way life is playing out for Kody’s wives. Many feel that Robyn Brown is getting exactly what she has been shooting for all along – complete control of the family. Viewers see Robyn as somewhat of a puppetmaster and in control of the family. They claim they are disgusted with Robyn Brown’s new role, playing the wounded victim.

As for what comes next for Christine Brown? The former wife has recently just announced that she will soon be starring in her own TLC series spin-off. The show is titled Cooking With Just Christine. However, many fans believe that the drama between Kody Brown and his Sister Wives family is far from over.
