Lauren Bushnell Slams Mask Mandates For School Children
The Bachelor alum Lauren Bushnell Lane is the latest celebrity to speak out against mask mandates for children. She doesn’t like it and she’s not afraid to say how she feels. Lauren and her husband Chris Lane are still in the new stages of being a parent but she knows what she wants when it comes to her son.
Lauren Bushnell shares thoughts on mask mandates
US Weekly shared what Lauren Bushnell Lane had to say about children wearing masks at school during the pandemic. Even though her son Dutton is only eight months old, Lauren has strong feelings about him and any other child wearing masks while at school.
She said, “Young children cannot learn with a mask on period point blank.” Lauren continued, “This is cruel. I am thankful we are able to travel for now to see family because Dutton is not 2 and in my heart I know for a fact he would never keep a mask on at the young age of 2.”
Lauren was quick to point out that she is not anti-mask. However, she said, “Will forever fight for this baby and his right to learn. I have the ability to homeschool him or send him to private school if I have to. Not everyone has this ability to do for their children. It’s not fair and cruel to an entire generation.”
She was also quick to say that she does not judge other parents for the decisions they make regarding their own children. Lauren said, “Mom knows best and not every child is the same!”
Some fans of course praised her while some were flat out rude. She even shared a screen shot of a direct message telling her to shut her mouth. Lauren basically isn’t going to tolerate others telling her how she should raise her child.
Other stars and masks
There are other stars who also appear to be against children wearing masks. However, there are also those celebrities who wear masks and have their children mask up as well.
One star who seemingly doesn’t like children wearing masks is Carrie Underwood. She reportedly liked a tweet saying something about children wearing “muzzles like rabid dogs.”
As for Lauren and Chris, they will continue doing what they see as best for their son Dutton.
