Is Jana Duggar Single For Religious Reasons? See Fans’ New Theory
Counting On fans are often speculating and wondering about Jana Duggar and her relationship status. The 31-year-old is the eldest female in the Duggar household. Despite many of her siblings getting married in their early twenties, she remains single. She currently lives with her parents, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, and helps out with her younger siblings and many nieces and nephews.
Over the years, Jana Duggar has been linked to several different men. Just last summer, fans thought she was courting a man named Stephen Wissmann. However, all of those rumors have crumbled, it seems.
So now, fans are trying to figure out why Jana is still single. Some think that she might be interested in women, while others think her parents want her to stay at home to care for her nieces and nephews forever. Other fans think she doesn’t want to get married or just hasn’t found the right person. There are plenty of other theories flying around, too.
While we don’t know the real reason Jana Duggar remains single in her thirties, a new fan theory has surfaced. Read on to see what it is and decide whether you agree with it.
Is there a biblical reason behind Jana Duggar staying single?
On the Duggar Bates Confessions Instagram page, one fan submitted a new confession about why they think Jana is staying single. It’s one that hasn’t been shared widely before. The confession reads:
“There is so much speculation about why Jana is single – maybe it is just her biblical decision not to marry. 1 Corinthians 7:25-40 explores why a woman may choose to remain single. Especially verse 40. She may just be happier to stay single.”
1 Corinthians 7:40 reads, “In my judgment, she is happier if she stays as she is—and I think that I too have the Spirit of God.”

In the comments section of the confession post, some fans agree with the sentiment and think it might make sense in Jana’s situation. Of course, it’s just another theory.
One fan can relate to Jana Duggar and writes, “This is me right there. I am happier alone than being in a relationship. I met some toxic men lately. It is better to be alone and be happy.”
