‘Unexpected’ Season 5 Preview- What To Expect
Season 5 of Unexpected is set to premiere on TLC in less than a month. The cast is in place and now a preview has dropped. In it, all of the highly-anticipated drama fans have come to expect is back in full force. This is going to be a season like no other, making it worth the nearly one year wait.
Meet The Season 5 Unexpected Cast
As per usual, there will be some familiar faces and newbies joining the cast of the hit reality series. Much like MTV’s Teen Mom, Unexpected takes viewers behind the scenes of being a pregnant teen. The ups and downs can be brutal but some of the girls have amazing success stories. Here’s who is returning for the latest season. First off, Tyra Boisseau is back and struggles with her baby daddy, Alex. She also brings along a few pregnant family members.
Next up is Lilly Bennett who was on the premiere season of the show. Now, she has a new fiance and they are preparing for a big move. She has always lived with her mom so this is a huge step for the couple. Lastly, Jenna Ronan is back for her second season. She comes from a broken home so she has been desperate to make things work with her baby daddy. Highly unlikely that will work.
As for the newbies, Emersyn Potter is pregnant at eighteen with a boyfriend who clearly is not ready for any of this. Throw in her overbearing mother and this is going to get interesting. Finally, Kylen Smith is going to be a teen mom which is extremely scary. It does not help that her boyfriend is overly confident and under investigation for physical abuse. Time will tell how that will all play out on the show.
Expect The Unexpected
In a preview for the upcoming season, it is clear anything can and will happen. Kylen’s father is upset because he feels they are missing out on monumental moments in pregnancy. He wants to feel the baby kick for the first time. Kylen’s boyfriend, Jason seems extremely unbothered by her parent’s concerns and wishes. This could cause a lot of conflicts especially since he now has a history of violence. Emersyn really wants her boyfriend to be able to share a room with her but her mom is adamantly against that.
Lilly’s mother is a little too real for her liking. She does not appreciate her daughter moving out. Mama even goes so far as to bring up the possibility Lilly could be headed for divorce. Poor girl is not even married yet. Yet, they may not make it down the aisle if he does not see how hard being a mom is. Back to Emersyn and how her mother catches her and her baby daddy sleeping together.

This could be the end of him coming around. Though Jenna and Aden have tried to work things out, it is clear they are over. There’s too much fighting between the two of them. Soon, labor pains start for the new moms and they are scared. Babies are born and relationships are tested.
