Duggar fans have heard about the ups and downs that Jill has faced with her parents. There was an issue with her father not properly compensating her for her time on TLC’s Counting On. Plus, Derick Dillard, Jill’s husband, has said multiple times that he’s writing a tell-all book about his wife’s family.
Jill previously mentioned that she has set boundaries with her parents and that they aren’t always invited to things. Jill hasn’t been spotted at any of the recent Duggar family gatherings either. So, fans assumed that something was going on between the daughter and her parents.
Now, it looks like Jill Dillard has a little update on her relationship with her parents, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar.

In a new Instagram post on Tuesday, February 15, Jill Dillard gave fans an update on her relationship with her parents. She revealed what happened on Valentine’s Day this year and included a little bit about how she celebrated with the Duggar family.
In her post, she shared a few photos from the romantic holiday. Then, she wrote, “Happy belated Valentines to the love of my life @derickdillard and our little ones! The grandparents, aunts and uncles sure spoiled us all with plenty of valentine treats, cookies, fruit bouquet and more! for dinner, the boys had their favorite pizza, then Derick grilled a special steak dinner for the two of us to enjoy after the boys were in bed. I love my people! #thankful”
In addition to mentioning the “grandparents, aunts, and uncle,” she specifically tagged her parents’ Instagram account, @DuggarFam. So, it’s obvious that it was both her family and Derick’s mom that celebrated Valentine’s Day with them.
This may be a sign that things are going well between Derick and Jill Dillard and her parents. After all, they might not have celebrated Valentine’s Day together if things were rocky between them.
