‘RHOBH’: Denise Richards Reveals Relationship Status With Daughter Sami Sheen

Former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Denise Richards recently spoke out on the status of her relationship with teenage daughter Sami Sheen. During a recent appearance on  SiriusXM’s Jeff Lewis Show, Denise shared just how things are going with her 17-year-old daughter Sami.

Sami Sheen is the daughter of Two and a Half Men star Charlie Sheen and actress Denise Richards. Last September, TV Shows Ace reported that Richards’ teen daughter had abruptly moved out of her mother’s home and into father Charlie Sheen’s home.

Denise Richards Does Not Agree With Charlie Sheen’s Parenting

Sami took to TikTok last fall to discuss the state of her mental health and to make some pretty shocking comments about her mom Denise. Sami claimed that she had been ‘trapped’ in an abusive household with her mother. The teen drama did not come as a surprise to Denise. Richards confided to her hairdresser the previous year that Sami had been doing some over-the-top things in an attempt to spark a reaction from her.

Soon after, Sami quit school and moved into father Charlie Sheen’s home claiming she was ‘insanely depressed.’ Soon after moving in with Charlie, Sami revealed after ‘moving out of the hell house, she had a spiritual awakening.’ She describes the new happier version of herself as owning two cats, being single, full of self-love, and dropping out of high school.

Now, 5-months later Denise reveals the status of their relationship according to Yahoo News.

 Raising Teenagers In LA Is Tough

“Honestly, I have a strained relationship with her. It’s very difficult. I know we’ll get back to where we were eventually but right now it’s strained.”

Denise reveals that there is nothing more she wants than for Sami to live with her again.

“But I think it’s very difficult raising teenagers now and especially in Los Angeles when there is access to everything. We didn’t grow up with Postmates and Uber where you have everything you want. There are certain rules I enforce them.  And [at Charlie Sheen’s], there’s different rules at that house and that’s okay.”

Happier Without ‘RHOBH’ Drama

While Richards is dealing with the strained relationship best as she can for the time being. She also reveals that she is not happy that Sami is not in school, and she also does not agree with certain things that Sheen does. “But that’s okay. We can agree to disagree.”

In 2020 Denise Richards announced she would be quitting the Bravo reality series after two seasons. Following a drama-filled season just hours before the RHOBH‘s Part 2 reunion Richards’ rep confirmed Denise’s exit following the Brandi Glanville affair allegations. Her exit left the wives shocked, and with much to talk about.

Since her departure from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills in 2020 is remaining fairly busy. The actress has 5 new film roles including, the soon-to-be-released films, Love Accidentally and Saturday At The Starlight.
