Jill Dillard Seeks Advice On Keeping Children Motivated
Former Counting On star and Duggar daughter Jill Dillard is turning to fans for a little extra support these days. The mom to two is asking for advice so she can better keep her sons motivated. So, what prompted this discussion, and is Jill getting the help she needs from fans?
Jill and her husband, Derick Dillard, currently have two sons, Israel, 6, and Samuel, 4. They may add to their family in the future, but they recently suffered a miscarriage. So, it’s unclear what their plans are for their family’s future.
After a long social media hiatus, Jill has returned and is sharing peeks into her life with her two sons. She spends a lot of one-on-one time with Samuel while Israel attends public school.
This week, the mom hopped online to share a couple of snaps of Samuel enjoying a tasty treat. The little boy is eating a yummy-looking ice cream sundae in Jill Dillard’s latest post. She wrote, “🍨Samuel recently got to celebrate his reading accomplishments with a special ice cream treat! 🥳 😋It took him awhile but he managed to finish the whole thing minus just a couple bites he shared! 🙃☺️”
When a fan applauded Samuel’s dedication, Jill revealed that it took him about an hour to eat the whole thing.
Then, Jill asked fans for some more ideas. She added, “✅ How do you help motivate your kids to accomplish big tasks & what are their favorite rewards? ⬇️”

In the comments section of Jill Dillard’s new post, fans are applauding Samuel for his hard work and love the idea of his ice cream reward. Other fans are also sharing their own ideas, as Jill requested. One says, “Mine get to pick out their favorite snack at the store for every book they read. 😀📚”
Another reminds Jill of a reading program at Pizza Hut. The Duggar fan writes, “Pizza Hut used to have a reading program. Free pizza motivates us all! Glad Sam enjoyed his ice cream!” Others recommend summer reading programs at the library.
Someone else suggests a dollar store shopping spree, while others recommend creating a treasure chest full of prizes at home.
It looks like Jill has lots of good ideas to use to help keep her sons motivated when it comes to reading.
