General Hospital fans still want Morgan actor to return

Actor Bryan Craig is familiar to soap opera fans for his role as Morgan Corinthos on General Hospital. He played one of the sons of iconic character Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard.) The actor nabbed Daytime Emmys for Outstanding Younger Actor in 2016 and 2017.

Morgan was presumably killed in 2016 when Craig left the show after three years. However, he returned in 2018 for a dream sequence. In recent years, he’s been open about his desire to return to his old stomping grounds.

However, his primetime career is taking off after a series of guest spots on shows such as CW’s Walker and ABC’s short-lived Grand Hotel. 

Bryan Craig lands new primetime gig

On Monday, February 7, 2022, Bryan Craig shared exciting news with his fans. He’s joining the Freeform show Good Trouble as a series regular. He is among several new faces viewers will see on the upcoming Season 4.

In addition to Craig, Booboo Stewart will appear as a recurring character.

Previous recurring actress Priscilla Quintana (Isabella) has been upgraded to series regular amid rumors that star Maia Mitchell (Callie) is leaving the show.

Fans discussed on Twitter that Mitchell’s name is no longer listed on Season 4 scripts as an Executive Producer.

Neither Freeform or Maia Mitchell have confirmed her departure. 

What do we know about his character?

As for newcomer Bryan Craig, what do we know about his character? E! News reveals that the GH alum will play Joaquin, an “investigative journalist with a mysterious background.”

It’s unclear if he will play a romantic lead to Callie. As viewers know, Callie and Gael (Tommy Martinez) broke up during the Season 3 finale. Gael is expecting a child with Isabella and wants to focus on being a father.

However, Callie also still has feelings for Jamie (Beau Mirchoff.) Fans won’t have to wait long to see Bryan Craig’s Good Trouble debut.

The first half of Season 4 of Good Trouble premieres on Freeform on Wednesday, March 9. It will be available to stream the next day exclusively on Hulu.

Morgan Cortinthos may not be making his return to the living any time soon, but soap fans can watch General Hospital weekdays on ABC.
