Is DWTS alum Kaitlyn Bristowe gunning to replace Tyra Banks as host for Season 31? Find out what the former Bachelorette says.

Bachelorette alum relishes Mirror Ball win

It took over five years for Kaitlyn Bristowe to get her chance on Dancing With The Stars. She previously claimed that after her Season 11 run as The Bachelorette, Bachelor Nation head honcho Mike Fleiss blocked her from appearing on DWTS.

She finally got her turn in 2020 during the show’s 29th season. Not only did she compete, Bristowe ultimately won the Mirror Ball trophy with pro dancer Artem Chigvintsev.

Is Kaitlyn Bristowe gunning to replace Tyra Banks as DWTS host?

After successfully winning DWTS, Kaitlyn Bristowe stepped in to co-host Seasons 17 and 18 of The Bachelorette with Tayshia Adams. The hosting switch came amid uncertainty about Chris Harrison’s future with the franchise. He ultimately parted ways with his TV home of almost 20 years.

Bachelor alum Jesse Palmer is currently hosting Season 26 of The Bachelor. The network has yet to reveal if Adams and Bristowe will resume hosting duties or if Palmer is the full-time host.

However, Kaitlyn Bristowe may be looking ahead to her future with the network. The reality star reacted to a suggestion from a follower on social media that she replace Tyra Banks as host of DWTS.

In 2020, ABC sent shockwaves through the industry by unceremoniously firing long-time host Tom Bergeron and co-host Erin Andrews. They replaced the beloved host with former model Tyra Banks.

To this day, many viewers have yet to accept Banks as host, especially after her serious flub of eliminating the wrong contestant during Season 29.

In response to the fan’s suggestion of a hosting change, Bristowe wrote “I mean, if the position is open…”

However, given that Tyra Banks is also an Executive Producer on DWTS, she will likely remain the host, as well.

Season 29 winner joins Live Tour through March

She may not be hosting, but DWTS fans can still see Kaitlyn Bristowe in the ballroom. The television personality appeared on Season 30 of the show to promote the Spring 2022 DWTS Live Tour.

What do we know about Season 31 of DWTS?

ABC has yet to announce plans for Season 31 of DWTS. However, the network usually doesn’t make any announcements until the upfronts in May, when they reveal their Fall schedule.

At this point, it’s considered likely that the dance competition will return. In fact, a few celebrities have thrown their hat in the ring, including a pro wrestler and the son of a famous wildlife conservationist.
