Tammy Slaton Strikes A Pose, Looks Happy For Once?
If you kept up with 1000-Lb. Sisters on TLC this year, then you know Tammy Slaton went on a roller coaster ride this year. She clearly struggled with watching her siblings move on without her and she started to spiral.
Fortunately though, Tammy made the brave choice to check herself into rehab at the end of the season. She said she planned to stay there for around a year and hoped she would make progress.
Based on recent social media posts, fans believe that Tammy Slaton looks a lot happier right now.
Tammy Slaton made some radical lifestyle changes — but it was almost too late
As Dr. Smith put it, Tammy would have to hit rock bottom before she decided to make lifestyle changes. And that’s seemingly what happened. All season long, fans grew frustrated as the TLC star put her health in jeopardy by partying, drinking, and vaping.
She did choose to turn her life around as the season drew to a close, but it was almost too late for Tammy.
She did check into rehab, but her siblings said that she had a medical emergency soon after. Before long, doctors put her in a medically induced coma.
“They didn’t know if she was going to make it through the night. Or make it through the next hour,” her brother Chris added. “And we stayed four days or so up there. … then the last day we was there, she woke up. And she kept telling us she loved us and wanted to go home.”
By some miracle, Tammy Slaton recovered and made it back to the rehab center.
The TLC star seems to be on a much better path as of early 2022
So how is Tammy feeling these days? After a recent Instagram post, fans think she’s feeling a lot better.
The 1000-Lb. Sisters star uploaded several photos where she is smiling and posing. She’s even wearing a pretty floral top. Are we finally seeing a brand new, happy Tammy?
Fans had plenty of kind things to say about the photos in the comments.
“Keep going! We were so happy to see that you reached out for help. You’re on your way!” said one fan.
“Hey Tammy! I pray you are doing well. You are looking better ❤️😍” said someone else.
Overall, fans agreed that Tammy definitely looks healthier than she had towards the end of Season 3. On TikTok, she shared that she no longer vapes or drinks, which is also contributing to her new healthy glow.
