Netflix’s ‘That ’70s Show’ Spin-Off Cast & Character Details Revealed

That 70s Show spinoff – That 90s Show
The new That ’70s Show or That ’90s Show is a new show coming to Netflix and bringing back some past favorites from the original show. Of course, there will be some key differences though since this show is happening 20 years later. In fact, this new series takes place in 1995.
According to CBR.com, Red and Kitty have already been announced that they will be returning to the show played by original cast members Kurtwood Smith and Debra Jo Rupp.
However, this time, they will be playing grandparents to Leia Forman (Callie Haverda) who is the daughter of Eric and Donna. According to the website, Leia is “Smart like her mom, snarky like her dad.” The entire premise of the show is based on following Leia’s character so she is very important.
What other characters can fans expect? Currently, there are five teens in addition to Leia and they each have their own story and personality.
- Gwen (Ashley Aufderheide) will serve as the leader of the group of friends. Apparently, she is very loyal while also being a bit rebellious.
- Jay (Mace Coronel) is a filmmaker who is known for being flirty. Jay’s character will be working at the local video store.
- Nate (Maxwell Acee Donovan) is both Jay’s best friend and Gwen’s older brother. It seems that he will be more of an easy-going character.
- Ozzie (Reyn Doi) is described as being sarcastic and gay. He is waiting for the world to accept him as his friends do.
- Nikki (Sam Morelos) is Nate’s girlfriend who is very smart but also more rebellious than expected.
Are there any other returning cast members?
As of right now, there have been no announced returning cast members for the That ’70s Show spinoff other than Red and Kitty. However, that doesn’t mean all hope is lost for fans of the original show. There have been talks that old cast members may make appearances as the show goes on. As of now though, there is nothing set in stone.
Along with no returning characters being named yet, there is also no official release date yet. It seems that fans will have to wait a bit longer for more details on That ’90s Show.
