Many Hallmark fans have made The Kitten Bowl an annual tradition. Many even skip the Super Bowl, and just have the kitties in the background, as they enjoy their game day treats and hang out with friends.

Is The Kitten Bowl coming back this year?

Will Hallmark Air The Kitten Bowl In 2022?

Hallmark has canceled the Kitten Bowl. According to Heavy, who spoke to a Crown Media representative, there will not be a Kitten Bowl.

However, the network does support the North Show Animal League, which always partnered with Hallmark for this event.

While we are not currently developing original animal-centric programming, Hallmark Channel is pleased to support partners like North Shore Animal League America as part of our commitment to social responsibility initiatives.

Although the Kitten Bowl is canceled, they did donate to North Shore Animal League as part of the #BettyWhiteChallenge.

What Has Hallmark Canceled In The Past Year?

The cute kittens in Hallmark’s Kitten Bowl are not the only recent casualties. There is a whole list of Hallmark cancelations.

First, Jesse Metcalfe left Chesapeake Shores. This was days before they were to start filming Season 6. They brought in Robert Buckley to the show.

Next, Home & Family was canceled. The good news that came out of that was Cameron Mathison was free to film another Hannah Swensen Mystery along with Alison Sweeney.

However, since then, co-hosts Mathison and Debbie Matenopoulos have done some hosting work over at GAC Family.

Next, Hallmark canceled their podcast, The Bubbly Sesh. Hosts Jacks and Shawl shared that the network did not renew their contract.

Right before the Good Witch Season 7 finale episode, Hallmark canceled the beloved series.

Many Mystery Series Have Been Canceled

If it feels like Hallmark is not airing a lot of mystery series right now, it is because they are currently evaluating each series. However, some have already been canceled.

First, Kellie Martin went to Twitter to announce that her series, Hailey Dean Mysteries was canceled. She wrote, “I just found out that Hailey Dean is done at Hallmark. Really sad and sorry to report.”

Next, Hallmark canceled Picture Perfect Mysteries. Alexa PenaVega did an Instagram Stories Q&A. A fan asked, “Any more mysteries in the making?”

Alexa responded, “Sadly, no. The mysteries have come to an end. But, it was so much fun. Such a good run! And we’re really proud of what we made.”

Lastly, Hallmark has canceled Danica McKellar’s Matchmaker Mysteries series. In late January, a fan asked her on Twitter about the mysteries. Many fans have wondered since she has recently signed an exclusive deal with GAC Media. This is when she shared the news.

They decided to stop making them last summer, along with many others! Let them know how you feel; I’d love to make more mysteries – a lot of us would.

Hallmark fans, are you sad to see that they canceled The Kitten Bowl?
