Chrishell Stause Dishes On Breakups & Exes In Her New Book
Selling Sunset star Chrishell Stause hasn’t been very lucky in love over the past few years. However, she is also growing and learning a lot about herself and what she wants.
In her new book, Under Construction, the Selling Sunset star definitely has a lot to say. After suffering through multiple public breakups, Chrishell finally took the opportunity to tell her side of the story.
In an excerpt from her book as shared by E! News, Chrishell writes,
“But also, sometimes a healthy relationship that starts out with zero warning signs can turn toxic over time, and you can end up bringing out the worst in each other simply because it wasn’t meant to be. If you’re a naturally optimistic person like I am, it’s hard to look for warning signs when you’re falling in love. You’re hopeful, and no one’s perfect, and everything in you wants it to work.”
This definitely sets the tone for her ongoing search for love.
Chrishell Stause has a lot to say about her exes in her new memoir
Chrishell Stause is a celebrated soap star, but most of us are familiar with her now from her reality show, Selling Sunset. She also had a part in Dancing With The Stars Season 29. If you’re a fan of either shows, you probably had the chance to hear her reflect on her very public divorce with Justin Hartley.
According to Chrishell, Justin Hartley let her know that he filed for divorce through a text message. The situation left her completely blindsided. But she decided to pick herself and move on — and shortly after, her relationship with Keo Motsepe began.
Keo and Chrishell met on the set of Dancing With The Stars. He’s best friends with her DWTS partner, Gleb Savchenko. Although it seemed like that relationship went well, it ended just a few short months later. And if you recall, that was a little explosive.
“I did fall for another love bomber not long after my divorce, and we were quickly heading toward real commitment. He was a tall dancer, and he started off as this amazing, positive, generous guy,” Chrishell wrote. “I took him home for Christmas to meet my family. After the honeymoon phase, though, things took a turn. This time, instead of making excuses for his behavior, I actually opened my eyes, pushed past the smoke and mirrors, and saw the truth. I’d gotten stronger, and as soon as I realized how deep his apparent lies went, I was the one who ended it.”
She goes on to say that it was much easier to move on from Keo Motsepe after all the heartache Justin Hartley put her through.
But what about Jason Oppenheim?
Dating your boss can definitely come with complications. Many Selling Sunset fans felt a little uneasy when Chrishell Stause and Jason Oppenheim made their relationship public in 2021. Again, things ended after just a few months of dating. However, the DWTS alum doesn’t seem to feel bitter about this breakup.
Chrishell reportedly told PEOPLE that she and Jason still have a lot of love for each other, even though their relationship didn’t work. Ultimately it seemed that Chrishell wants to eventually start a family and Jason isn’t ready for that yet.
“You can’t talk out this problem. It’s just something that, it is what it is,” she told the publication. “I will say it’s a relationship I’m really extremely proud of. I think that we entered and left it with so much respect and love for each other.”
