My 600-Lb. Life introduces Lisa

Tonight’s episode of My 600-Lb. Life introduces viewers to a woman named Lisa Ebberson from Fairbury, NE. Lisa is 51-years-old and estimated her weight to be 637 pounds at the time she started filming her episode of the show. On Reddit, fans speculate Lisa was actually a lot larger than that and questioned when the last time she officially got weighed was. Even Dr. Now said during their first appointment she looked to be a lot larger than 637 pounds. He, however, decided he would be using that weight as her starting point to base her progress around it.

Lisa Ebberson was completely bedridden. She revealed to the cameras and Dr. Now she had been bedridden for the past three to four years. According to Lisa, she had a doctor tell her that if she stood on her ankle the bone would pop out and pierce the skin. On Reddit, viewers have speculated that probably never happened. As the episode progressed. Lisa made it clear she was a liar and a manipulator. Even with cameras rolling, she would later insist something happened a different way. For example, she told Dr. Now the therapist called her fat and said they couldn’t help her. Both Dr. Now and viewers know that wasn’t how it happened. It was caught on film happening differently.

Lisa Ebberson never manages to get out of bed though she does end up in the hospital toward the end of the episode. Both Lisa and her boyfriend Randy test positive for COVID-19 and get hospitalized. Surprisingly, Lisa manages to recover and loses a little over 80 pounds while in the hospital. Sadly, her boyfriend Randy does not recover from COVID and ends up passing away.

Lisa Ebberson 2022 Update: Where is she now?

Lisa Ebberson seeks the advice of Dr. Paradise after her boyfriend Randy passes away. He gives the best advice he can on how to deal with grief. He, however, admits that time is really the best healer after losing a loved one. While Lisa seems to be getting help from a few different friends who are working in a rotating schedule to take care of her 24 hours a day, things go nowhere with Dr. Now.

Lisa Ebberson has one final phone call with him before cutting him off and quitting his program. Now, a bit of internet sleuthing reviews Randy and Lisa contracted COVID-19 back in November of last year. Her boyfriend Randy passed away on November 18, 2021. He was 62-years-old at the time of his passing.

Talking to Dr. Paradise, Lisa Ebberson reveals it has been about two months since Randy passed. So, that means they would have been filming the end of her episode in January of 2022. Unfortunately, this means there isn’t much of a 2022 update on Lisa Ebberson and where she is now simply because there isn’t much to tell.

It has only been a few weeks since she wrapped up filming and she hasn’t posted anything public on social media since the beginning of December. On December 6th, she tagged her boyfriend Randy’s Facebook account and noted how much she loved and missed him.

Unfortunately, this also means there’s no real update on her weight loss journey either. Lisa Ebberson quit Dr. Now’s program and hasn’t posted anything public on social media since shortly after Randy passed away.

  1. I think she is fearful of trying to get out of the bed, and she doesn’t seem to want to put any work into helping herself, in reality, I think she’s too far gone, with her weight and legs, sad,

    1. This woman was in the top 3 of the most horrible patients on this TLC show.
She lied and said she “never received the diet.” Then she said it was packed away in boxes somewhere. She ordered poor Randy around like he was her personal servant. The poor incredibly weak willed guy goes to the grocery store and she phones him – 8 boxes of cookies, 5 packages of chips, 7 boxes of “sugar-coated” cereal etc., etc., and HE BUYS THE CRAP FOR HER. That one scene where he handed her a HUGE oversize plate with an entire cut up pizza and chips. Then in the next scene she is complaining she’s “trying her best” and doesn’t know why she isn’t loosing any weight. She pointed her fat finger at everyone else except herself. RANDY buys the food and she just ‘eats what she is given’. The two therapy ladies didn’t know what she was going through. Dr. Now wouldn’t listen. She is a entitled, spoiled nasty brat. I’ll bet bucks that she never loses any weight, only gains. And her horrendous swollen boil-encrusted legs made me want to heave.

  2. I couldn’t believe how horrible she was to the dietician, PT and Dr. Now. I sort of lost sympathy for her by the end of the episode. Randy being on oxygen, I’m not surprised that he did not survive Covid. I think she is angry at herself that she let herself get this way, but takes it out on those around her.

  3. Lisa accepts NO responsibility for her weight issues. She wants everyone to wait on her so she doesn’t have to do ANYTHING. I do not understand why she was even on the show. She has no intention on changing how she eats. I don’t know how Dr Now puts up with them.

    1. I don’t like when they have a whole story of wasted time, with patients who have no intention of helping themselves. She is a bitter nasty woman, with behavior like a child, not getting their way. It’s patients like her that make helpful programs look bad.

  4. It seems as if Lisa E. just wanted everyone do all the hard work for her, and just wanted to lay her FatAss(her words) in that bed.
She was Horrible to the pt, the dietitian, dr now and her boyfriend. Dr Now sure does put up with a lot from these ones who just think they will automatically get the surgery without doing THEIR part, doing the diet and working with a PT to build up her stamina. But she lashed out at all who were there to help her. Maybe she just wanted to be on tv, who knows. Prayers for Randy and his family regarding his passing from Covid-19. May He RIP. 😢🙏🏽
Dr Now is an amazing Doctor, I’ve been watching the show since it started. I watch the “Where Are They Now” as well and hoping to see Lisa E on that show walking around and proving ME wrong.

  5. She was unbelievably RUDE!!! I was soooo shocked and felt sorry for everyone that was trying to help! She just didn’t want the help! Seems she was stressing her bf out too!! She was such a liar too! Dr. Now was not rude he was just REAL!!

  6. Their have been some bad ones on the show. I feel Lisa E. Is REALLY bad. She took advantage of Randy. I don’t think she cared about him. She used him. After she talked to Dr. Now about losing weight, Randy went grocery shopping. She was on the phone telling him what to buy. It was all junk food. How do they get the money to buy all that garbage? What really bothered me was watching Randy struggling when he took care of her — and she didn’t care. She’s a nasty, selfish person. I have no sympathy for her at all.

    1. Randy was not as mild mannered as he seemed. He got mad at Dr Now when he was confronted with enabling and pulled what looked like a liquor bottle from the side of the bed and took a swig. I think both Lisa and Randy had serious mental issued.

      1. You see the randy i saw, and thats exactly why the brilliant doctor calls them ENABLERS, they know the patient is weak mentally or emotionally and they feed on that. They want someone to feed, to take care of, but this time instead of the patient dying the enabler died. Sorry it came to that he should have backed off and taken care of himself plus he knew all that garbage he bought was killing her. Anyway she refused to even try to walk so she’ll end up dying in that bed.

  7. They just plain lazy to get up and walk. People use food for comfort. There only hurting them selfs. And there bodies.

  8. This is a sad and very depressing episode. Most ‘My 600-Lb Life’ shows are, but eventually there’s hope in the end. I think Lisa realized she’d let herself get past the point of no return and had little hope of ever leading a normal life again. It made her very angry with herself and she lashed out on everyone around her. I felt sorry for her ‘boyfriend’ Randy who did everything for her. It looked like they were living in squalor and the bed & pillows were in horrendous condition. It would do Lisa a world of good to get up out of that bed! It would give her a sense of accomplishment and hopefulness in her life. My condolences to Randy’s family. I’m sorry he lived his final days like that. May he RIP..

  9. It’s a shame professional people have to put up with such vile people. Dr Now should have pulled the plug on her right away. There’s a reason her family was never around. Randy should have woke up and walked away from her and took care of himself. A sad situation all the way around. She’ll die in that bed, waiting for someone to wait on her.

  10. Poor Randy. I felt so bad for that man. Lisa was a horrible waste of time and resources. I really wish the episode had been about helping Randy. She was one of the worst patients the show has had and just stayed in bed whining the whole time. Anyway, it should really be about Randy. A far better human than most of us will ever be imho from the episode. I am happy he is at peace and no longer sick or in pain and surrounded by the love he deserves. Lisa is probably currently yelling at a shift manager from Big Lots about a broken fan that she bought two years ago while someone else wipes her butt paid from our state tax dollars. I think she is a very lonely person that is angry at herself and the lies that she tells herself and everyone else to continue that awkward cycle. Seems fitting.
