‘DWTS’: Sharna Burgess Mourns The Loss Of A Loved One
If you’re a Dancing With The Stars fan, we have some sad news to report. Season 27 winner Sharna Burgess recently announced the passing of a close family member.

Things have been pretty quiet for the Australian dancer since Dancing With The Stars Season 30 wrapped up. During the season, she competed with her boyfriend, Brian Austin Green. The duo left the competition fairly early, but it’s clear they still had a strong bond.
And Sharna is going to really need some support right now.
Through thick and thin, Sharna and Brian seem to have a pretty strong relationship. But losing a loved one is never easy and can really shake up someone’s world.
On January 31, Sharna uploaded an Instagram post revealing her father passed away. She uploaded several sweet photos of the two of them together. It appears that the two were incredibly close.
“đź’” I’ll never be able to find the right words to do this justice so I’ll use the words of someone else,” she captioned the Instagram post. She then quoted C.S. Lewis and added, “There are far better things ahead than those we leave behind.”
“I hope with all my heart this is true for you. Journey well Dad, may you go with Spirit, courage and love onto your next. Thank you, I love you, I miss you.”
Sharna then shared her father’s name, Raymond Eric Burgess, and his date of birth and passing. It appears he passed away on January 28. She locked the comments section, but the post has thousands of likes from supportive friends, castmates, and fans.

Sharna opted not to join the Dancing With The Stars tour this year and it seems like that might be best right now. At the time, she said she had too much on her plate. But now, she can take all the time she needs to grieve her loss.
Many fans speculate that she and Brian Austin Green will tie the knot soon, but that may be put on the backburner with this turn of events.
“Brian and Sharna have talked engagement, have talked marriage but this holiday season and Christmas is not when it is going to happen,” a source close to the couple reportedly Hollywood Life before Christmas. “His kids really like Sharna, and they will absolutely get there but right now they both don’t want to make it look like they are rushing anything so soon after being officially divorced.”
