‘DWTS’: Cheryl Burke’s Frightening Encounter At Home, Issues Warning
Many celebrities have had scary encounters with fans before. After an especially frightening incident at her own home, Dancing With The Stars pro Cheryl Burke wants to warn others.

Cheryl Burke discovered something scary on her security camera
When you live in Los Angeles and are a celebrity, you probably have a home security system. It’s just a good investment. Unfortunately, DWTS pro Cheryl Burke found something really frightening when she checked her security feed.
The dancer realized she captured a videotape of people digging through the trash on the property she shares with her husband, Matthew Lawrence.
She posted the video from the security camera and warned fans and friends about the danger.
“People in LA, please be cautious and careful. I found people going through my bins and searching around my house over the weekend at 3:45 in the morning,” the Season 30 finalist wrote. “Unsure what exactly they were looking for, but knowing these people were accessing my property in the middle of the night is of course concerning.”
“I’m thankful I have a security system surrounding my house and at each entrance, and my cameras were able to auto alert the security team. Sharing this video to let people know to continue to be safe and cautious right now. Make sure your home has protective measures to keep you safe. Please share so this message gets out and we all remember to keep safe. ❤️”
In the video, there are people visibly standing in Cheryl’s dumpster and going through discarded items and bags. The people are wearing headlights to see what they’re doing.
Thankfully, no one was hurt. But Cheryl and her husband are probably very rocked by the situation.
Other DWTS pros have had similar experiences
Cheryl Burke isn’t the first Dancing With The Stars pro to catch something scary on a home security feed.
Last February, Jenna Johnson and Val Chmerkovskiy also had an unexpected visitor on their property. Jenna posted the security feed revealing a mountain lion prowling around their backyard in the middle of the night.
“So of course the weekend we are gone, there happens to be a cougar in our backyard… like what?!?!?!” Jenna captioned a photo of the big cat. “Do I call someone? What do we do?? Ummmmm this is so scary. Keeping the dogs inside for sureeeeeee.”
Luckily, the mountain lion didn’t injure any person or pet during its visit.
