The cast of Celebrity Big Brother Season 3 has left many fans feeling underwhelmed. It seems from many leaks and rumors that many were expecting a higher profile roster. This did not end up being the case, but nevertheless, there are a couple of blasts from the past on there. But who are the biggest celebrities Big Brother has ever had? Who are the stars that raised eyebrows and sent Celebrity Big Brother ratings through the roof? Let’s look at the biggest name from each season.
Season 1: Mark McGrath
While there were many notable faces in Season 1, the singer of some of the 90s biggest hits by far has to be the biggest name. For any Gen Z readers or anyone who lived under a rock in the 90s, Mark McGrath was the lead singer of Sugar Ray. A band with no shortage of songs like “Fly” and “Every Morning” that filled any and every beach party, cookout, and frat party imaginable for a time. He’s a huge name and an interesting player to see compete on a show like Big Brother.
Season 2: Joey Lawrence
Season 2 arguably has the biggest lineup of any of the three Celebrity Big Brother seasons thus far. With pro athletes, high-profile politicians, star singers, and… Lindsay Lohan’s mother stacking the cast list. Amongst all these names is Joey Lawrence. An actor with multiple famous shows like Blossom and the best known Melissa & Joey. As well as some popular film and voice actor roles and a song that topped at 19 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1993. Combine that with the fact that he was a finalist on Dancing With The Stars and you have a jack of all trades who, surprisingly, didn’t do so well on his Big Brother debut.
Season 3: Lamar Odom
While Season 3’s cast list has been disappointing to many, it is undeniable that Lamar Odom is a huge name to have on the list. Not only because of his long and successful NBA career. But because of his widely-reported former relationship with Khloe Kardashian as well.
The fame of professional sports and the fame of reality TV tabloids are two very different kinds with vastly different audiences. This means Lamar arguably may have the largest reach of any celebrity the show has seen before. He not only attracts the attention of the diehard Kardashian fans, but he also turns heads among the sports circles, as well. If he can keep the Kardashians in the conversation while bringing his tried and true athletic ability to the physical challenges in the Big Brother house, he may have a solid shot at the end game and at bringing a major spotlight down on this season of the show.
