Derek Hough & Hayley Erbert Joke About Expanding The Family
Derek Hough and Hayley Erbert have been a couple for several years now. Even though many fans wonder why they aren’t yet married, it’s clear the pair is happy.
But now, DWTS fans wonder if Derek and Hayley plan to expand their family anytime soon. Keep reading to find out what exactly prompted the discussion!
Derek Hough probably wouldn’t mind having another mouth to feed
It’s no secret that Derek Hough and Hayley Erbert are big animal people. They already have a few cats and dogs. And on top of that, they frequently partner with companies that serve animals.
But Derek’s recent post sparked a conversation.
He posted an Instagram photo of a puppy dressed as Indiana Jones. He captioned it,
“Young at heart and ready for adventure! I have to remind myself in times when I feel overwhelmed to breathe, smile, be grateful, don’t take myself too seriously, be playful and remember that life is an adventure meant to be filled with challenges to push us and help us grow. So grab your hat, tilt it down just a little, look ahead and say ‘Bring it on’… oh yeah and the whip, don’t forget the whip.”
And Hayley jokingly commented, “Is this your way of saying we should get another puppy?! 🙃”
Many fans and friends of the couple egged Hayley on, saying that they absolutely did need another dog. Although it was obviously a joke, we know Derek probably wouldn’t be too upset if Hayley did bring home another animal.
The couple makes some wishes to kick off 2022 the right way
If you follow the Dancing With The Stars judge on Instagram, you’re probably no stranger to his menagerie of animals. Fans really loved his most recent photo. In it, you can see Derek posing majestically while one of his dogs uses the bathroom in the background.
“The look of a proud father when his baby girl does the poopies,” Derek wrote.
While it doesn’t appear the couple plans to marry anytime soon, a family expansion definitely could be on the table. Fans that know Derek and Hayley well probably wouldn’t be surprised if they did get another pet.
The couple also teased fans recently by uploading a video entitled “We’re having 2 Babies ?” In the video, you can see Derek and Hayley listing things they want to do this year and throwing objects at a cup to see if their wish would come true. Derek says he will propose to Hayley and then both look shocked when the object makes it into the cup.
Hayley throws an object at the cup and says they will have a baby — and it misses. Derek jokes that they will have two babies and the object makes it in. Check it out here:
The babies could definitely be furbabies, but it was still a fun video to watch.
