The When Calls The Heart Season 9 sneak peek trailer is out. Hope Valley is ushering in a new era, filled with new and old faces.

What does this trailer reveal?

When Calls The Heart Mountie Doesn’t Want To Drive Car

As When Calls The Heart Season 9 is embracing a new era of change and technology, some characters may feel more comfortable in the past. The new sneak peek gives fans a glimpse into the new season.

The Hearties’ favorite Mountie, Nathan Grant (Kevin McGarry), is reluctant to replace his trusted steed with a motor vehicle.

However, Bill Avery’s (Jack Wagner) words seem to ring throughout Hope Valley. “We are on the threshold of a new era.”

One thing is for sure, the mustached Nathan does not seem to be dwelling on his romantic feelings for Elizabeth (Erin Krakow). Instead, he seems focused on a newcomer, Mei Suo (Amanda Wong), who has exceptional horse riding skills.

When Calls The Heart’s Henry Gowen Can’t ‘Outrun’ His Past

The When Calls The Heart Season 9 premiere foreshadows a major Henry Gowen (Martin Cummins) arc. He is shown speaking to Elizabeth, telling her “I can’t quite outrun my past.” The two are standing in front of the opening of the mine, which has been long closed.

Henry’s redemption story has been unfolding slowly. However, is it possible that this is the season that Henry will finally be free of his past?

At the end of WCTH Season 8, he was seen leaving town. This was after he spoke of Abigail (Lori Loughlin) and some personal regrets.

In the When Hope Calls Christmas episode, Abigail was seen sending a letter to Henry. This love story is now across two shows, and two networks. What will happen next?

Hope Valley’s Elizabeth Thornton Publishes First Book

In When Calls The Heart Season 8, Hearties saw Elizabeth work hard to write a quality book. In the sneak peek, there is a surprise party for Elizabeth. This is not for her birthday, but her creative work.

As they show the party, Elizabeth’s voice is in the background. “I wrote the as a love letter to my son, and to everyone else in this town.”

In addition, there are many cozy and loving footage of Lucas (Chris McNally), Little Jack (Hyland Goodrich), and Elizabeth. Looks like they are bonding  as a family.
