On Saturday, Duggar cousin Amy King sent out a tweet calling out Katie Joy for making accusations against her mom. Amy feels that Katie has gone too far by saying such awful things about her mom.
In her tweet, Amy writes, “You have stepped over the line a long time ago, but to attack my mom after all she’s been through? You are terrible. Stop lying.”
This all began when Katie Joy shared a post about corporal punishment and the Duggar family. In her post, Katie revealed that she had spoken to various sources who have connections to the Duggars.
One source gave Katie a quote, which reads, “It would be more shocking if the adult Duggar kids didn’t use corporal punishment on their children.”
However, the photo she used also included Amy King’s mother, Deanna Duggar, front and center. So, Amy concluded that her own mother might be being accused of using corporal punishment.
Katie Joy has since updated the caption of the post to make it clear that “this post is not about Deanna Duggar.”
Amy has yet to respond to Katie’s post about the whole situation. We’ll have to wait and see how the drama continues to unfold and what else surfaces as a result.
