Tom Schwartz Gives In-Depth Update On Jax Taylor Friendship
Vanderpump Rules fans are wanting all the latest updates from Tom Schwartz and Tom Sandoval concerning their relationship with Jax Taylor. New information is coming out as the two Toms openly dished on all the details during their recent sitdown with Andy Cohen.
On January 18, Cohen eagerly grilled the two on the current status of their relationship with Jax Taylor. During Watch What Happens Live, the duo had no problem giving up all the dirt. Fans are well aware that Taylor’s exit back in season 8 left a lot of unanswered questions. However, according to Heavy.com Sandoval reveals he and Schwartz have seen Taylor recently.
Are Tom Schwartz And Jax Taylor Still Friends?
Sandoval explains that during Katie Maloney‘s recent birthday party the former costars did run into each other. While Schwartz spoke fondly of Taylor, it is obvious that Sandoval is not feeling the same friendship. “I have a great relationship with Jax,” Schwartz spills to Andy.
“I’ll always love him. His kid is so cute, Andy.”
When asked how he feels about Jax Taylor these days, Sandoval states, “We try to keep it below the belt.” “I’m just kidding,” adds Sandoval. Schwartz jumps in to describe that things between Sandoval and Taylor are ‘amicable’ now, but things are not the same since their big fallout for Jax’s wedding to Brittany Cartwright.

Tense Relationships Still Exist
Tom Sandoval appearing a bit agitated interrupts to state, “We’re fine. I mean we don’t hang out the way we used to.”
“The dynamic between us is kind of dead,” Schwartz reveals. However, he claims he is still ‘chills’ with Taylor a lot. “But, Tom [Sandoval] doesn’t have a close relationship. I mean he returned the sword. I feel like that was the end, that was the symbolic end, of their relationship.”
During Season 9 of Vanderpump Rules, despite Jax Taylor leaving in season 8, he has been referenced several times. Taylor has even made numerous cameos, all contributed by old footage, and some security footage. Ariana Madix revealed on a December 28, Vanderpump Rules episode that she spotted Jax via security cameras when he entered the property while returning a gift given to him by Sandoval.
Bruised Egos
The episode then flashes to Jax, with his image blurred on the security camera, Madix explains to Katie Maloney that that is the last time she has seen Taylor. Furthermore, he was only there to return the sword that Sandoval had given to him as a gift. Fans remember the awkward meeting well. The Samurai sword was a special gift signed by American Idol‘s Randy Jackson.
Sandoval gifted Taylor with the sword for his 40th birthday after going to great lengths to have the sword autographed by Jackson. Following the end of their friendship when Taylor was questioned about the sword, he stated that he felt the gift was more a boost for Sandoval’s ego than it was about a gift for him.
So there it is, Tom Schwartz and Jax remain close friends, while Tom Sandoval and Taylor both seem very content with the status of their relationship. Does this mean the two will never make full amends? For now, but, never say never, bruised egos tend to heel over time, so time will tell.
