‘RHOBH’: Dorit Kemsley’s Husband PK Settles Millions In Gambling Debts
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Dorit Kemsley and her husband PK is working hard to get their lives back on track in 2022. It has been a tough year for the reality star and her family. The end of 2021 was a real mess for Dorit and her family, but things may be starting to finally look up a bit for the Kemsleys.
2021 ended with a lot of drama. Bravo fans remember that in October, Dorit suffered a horrific event at her Los Angeles home. As previously reported by Tv Shows Ace, the RHOBH star was robbed at gunpoint during a terrifying home invasion. Luckily Dorit nor her sleeping children were unharmed during the robbery. However, the thieves did make off with over $1 million worth of the family’s jewelry and possessions.
PK And Dorit Kemsley’s Run Of Bad Luck
Dorit reveals that she is still trying to heal from the trauma of the home invasion and that she will be sharing more on the robbery with fans during the upcoming season. Dorit reveals she is continuing to focus on her family and ‘putting one foot in front of the other’ in hopes of moving past the robbery.
“It is definitely an experience that changes you in a lot of ways. I think it is really important to focus on all the important things in life. And of course, there is therapy. I am really focusing on trying to heal and come out of it,” claims Kemsley.
For Dorit, this frightening home invasion followed a summer of other financial worries including a past-due debt for back taxes to the IRS also totaling over one million dollars. If that was not enough November brought the family even more problems when PK was arrested on suspicion of DUI.
Will 2022 Be Their Year?
More troubles followed the holidays when Bravo was forced to shut down season 12 filming after cast members Lisa Rinna and Erika Jayne tested positive for COVID. Now news that Kemsley’s finances have taken yet another big hit has been revealed.
Per Reality Blurb, PK settled with Las Vegas’ Bellagio Hotel & Casino on a massive $2.27 million gambling debt. According to the casino, PK’s gambling debt has now been settled in full.
PK’s battle with the Bellagio has been ongoing since 2013. Reports reveal the casino sued Kemsley after he defaulted on a private payment plan during his UK bankruptcy. PK reveals paying off $875,000 before the bankruptcy, however, the casino claims that they were aware of the bankruptcy. Meaning that the discharge does not apply to his past $2.27 million gambling debt.
It looks as if things may be starting to calm down a bit financially for the Kemsleys. However, the couple is not quite out of the woods yet. At this time, reports claim that Kemsley still owes $1.3 million in unpaid taxes to the IRS.
RHOBH Season 12 is expected to air on Bravo in 2022.
