Jessa Seewald’s Latest Post Gets Upstaged By Green Giant?
Former Counting On star Jessa Seewald meant to share a new photo of one of her four children. However, her new post didn’t get the reaction she was hoping for. Instead, the green giant in the foreground of the photo totally upstaged the real subject of the photo. So, what happened, and what are fans saying about it?

In a new post on Instagram, Jessa Seewald shared a peek into her life as she homeschools her oldest son, Spurgeon, 6. In the snap, Spurgeon is sitting at a desk in the living room. The little guy is hard at work with a headband keeping his hair out of his face. In the caption of her post, Jessa writes that he’s “too cool for school.”
But in front of Spurgeon, there is a large potted fiddle leaf fig. Part of the trunk is in front of him, while the leaves come up high above his head. The huge plant immediately caught Jessa’s followers’ attention.
In the comments section of her post, Jessa is receiving lots of comments about homeschooling. Some fans think it’s great that she’s teaching Spurgeon at home, just like she was homeschooled growing up. Other fans are criticizing her for sheltering her son and not letting him interact with other children. Plenty more think he looks “sad and lonely.”
So, in response, Jessa set the record straight and reassured fans that Spurgeon is doing well and has lots of friends, cousins, and three siblings, too.
Duggar fans obsess over the large, healthy plant.
However, not all of Jessa Seewald’s followers are discussing Spurgeon’s homeschool education. Many of them are focused on the large fiddle leaf fig in front of Spurgeon. The plant looks huge and seems to be very healthy, fans think.
One fan comments, “Your fiddle leaf is getting so big, absolutely stunning!!!!! 😍😍😍😍😍” Another writes, “Your Fiddle fig is amazing.”
Someone else adds, “Forget the kid, let’s hear about the plant.”
In a thread on Reddit, Duggar Snarkers are discussing Jessa’s new post. Though they typically don’t have anything positive to say about the Duggars, they are impressed by Jessa’s plant. One critic writes, “Her fiddle leaf fig is gorgeous! Mine looks like a hobo compared to hers lol.”
