Bachelorette alum Kaitlyn Bristowe shares her new approach for dealing with online trolls and haters. Keep reading for all the details.

From Bachelor contestant to Bachelorette co-host

Kaitlyn Bristowe has been in the public eye since 2015 as a contestant on Season 19 of The Bachelor. Chris Soules didn’t choose her, but the men of Bachelorette Season 11 did. The twist of that season was the contestants voted whether they wanted to pursue Bristowe or Britt Nilsson, thus sealing Bristowe’s place in Bachelor Nation.

At the end of Season 11, Kaitlyn got engaged to Shawn Booth, though their relationship never led to marriage. She is now engaged to Bachelor Nation alum Jason Tartick, who competed on Becca Kufrin’s season of The Bachelorette.

After Chris Harrison’s shocking exit as host of the franchise after almost 20 years, the network brought in Kaitlyn Bristowe and Tayshia Adams to co-host seasons 17 and 18 of The Bachelorette.

Kaitlyn was a recent guest on the Tamron Hall Show. During the chat, she addressed her long tenure in Bachelor Nation. After calling the fans of the franchise “very loyal” and “dedicated,” the reality star noted the fans also hate change.

So, while some fans welcomed her into the hosting role with open arms, she also deals with her share of haters and online trolls.

However, she’s taking on a new policy when engaging with them. What is it?

The Bachelorette alum describes herself as an “edgy little Canadian” when she first appeared on the franchise. Kaitlyn Bristowe admits to Tamron Hall that she can be a bit “sassy” with fans, noting that her friends call her a “firecracker.”

However, she is changing the way she approaches haters. According to Kaitlyn Bristowe, she wants to have more “empathy” for haters. “Who knows what kind of pain they are going through at home,” the reality star said.

In her opinion, the hate comes from “their own pain” in their lives.

But if empathy doesn’t work, Kaitlyn has a backup plan – “Bless them and block them.”

Living her dream on the DWTS live tour

Aside from her Bachelor Nation roots, Kaitlyn Bristowe is also a Mirrorball Trophy winner. She competed on Season 29 of Dancing With The Stars.

The show made the announcement during Season 30 that the former winner would be joining the DWTS Live tour in 2022. Kaitlyn Bristowe appeared on the Tamron Hall Show via video from Morristown, New Jersey, where she performed on January 12th. Watch the full interview down below.
