Tributes continued to roll during the week. Fellow comedian Dave Chappelle shared his biggest regret amid the actor’s death. On Thursday, January 13, Dave made had a show at the Peppermint Club in Los Angeles. He wanted to open up about his friend’s sudden death and share an important reminder with his fans.

The 48-year-old admitted that he’s not getting any younger. According to a clip of his performance published by TMZ, he shared his biggest regret. Chappelle admitted that he did not text him back. He didn’t have a chance to reply before Saget’s passing. This has been weighing on him heavily.

Chappelle is at the age where most of his icons are passing away. He has been in the comedy game for years. Yet, most of his “peers are older than me.” Chappelle said that he “didn’t see Bob coming.” The entire world was in shock when TMZ was the first to break the news on the Full House star’s death.

“Man, he just texted me and I saw the text yesterday and I never texted him back because I was just busy,” Chappelle said. “Yeah, it happens. I’m just saying this to remind you: these moments are precious.”

He doesn’t just do his shows to hang out with his fans. Chappelle says he wants to make “memories.” Whenever he performs at comedy clubs at night, he says he’s “making history.” He wants to follow in Saget’s footsteps.

Full House co-star misses texting Bob Saget

Dave Chappelle isn’t the only one who is having regrets. Saget’s Full House co-star John Stamos is also struggling these days. Stamos and Saget appeared together on Full House from 1987 to 1995 and then later reprised their roles on the Netflix reboot, Fuller House. The two were more than just co-stars. They were best friends.

On Thursday, Stamos took to Twitter to share his grief. He admitted that he has had a hard time waking up in the morning. He also misses getting text messages from his friend. The two would communicate a lot.

“I miss getting a text from him right now,” Stamos continued. “Me answering. Him saying he’s too tired to respond. Me saying, ‘Then why’d you text me so early?’ he added.”
