After a whirlwind romance on Season 17 of The Bachelorette, Katie Thurston and Blake Moynes got engaged on the season finale airing in August of 2021.
However, it didn’t last long. They announced on social media that they were breaking up in October of that same year.
Just a few weeks later, Thurston confirmed that her friendship with former contestant John Hersey had turned into love. The new couple celebrated the new year with a vacation in Mexico.
What about Blake Moynes? Is he seeing someone new?

Earlier this week, the Bachelor Nation alum opened up his Instagram DMs to questions from followers. He fielded several questions about what kind of woman he is looking for. He admitted that older women or women with kids aren’t deal-breakers for him. Blake Moynes would be open to either dating situation, as well as moving to the States from Canada for the right person.
Does that mean he’s single? Yes, the wildlife manager confirmed that he was single. However, he’s looking for more than just a relationship. One follower asked why it was hard for Moynes to find a relationship.
However, Blake Moynes answered that finding a relationship isn’t the problem. It’s finding “the right one” that’s difficult.
Before pursuing Katie Thurston on Season 17, Blake was a contestant on Clare Crawley’s season of The Bachelorette. He shared an update on their status. When asked if they are still friends, he simply said, “Yes.”
Interestingly, he didn’t answer any questions about where he stands with Katie Thurston these days.
Would Blake Moynes do another Bachelor Nation show?
Before ABC officially confirmed that Clayton Echard was headlining Season 26 of The Bachelor, fans were hoping Blake Moynes would get another shot at love. The rumors persisted after claims of back-to-back seasons of The Bachelor in 2021. At this point, the network has yet to reveal if another season of The Bachelor will air next or a new season of The Bachelorette.
However, fans clearly still hope for Blake Moynes to return to the franchise. During his q&a session, one follower asked if he would ever go on another “Bachelor franchise show,” in either the U.S. or his home country of Canada.
In a lengthy IG Stories post, the reality star replied that being on the show was a “wild experience.” Additionally, he has “great memories” from his time on The Bachelorette.
However, he also writes that it’s “exhausting” just thinking about “entering that world again.”
But he left his fans with a glimmer of hope. “Things change weekly – never know,” he added.
What reality show does he want to go on instead?
If he doesn’t join a Bachelor Nation show in the future, the alum has a back-up plan. When asked if he would join Survivor, he was quick to retort with Discovery Channel’s Naked and Afraid.
