Fans Discover Why Tammy Slaton Couldn’t Breathe In The Mountains
1000-Lb. Sisters fans are all too familiar with Tammy Slaton’s infamous mountain vacation meltdown. When we last left the family, they were ready to go to sleep after a long day of travel. However, Tammy wasn’t having any of it.
The 35-year-old reality star refused to come out of the family van and insisted she didn’t feel well. Tammy has a myriad of health issues, so she could be telling the truth. But if she was having trouble breathing, fans think they know why.
Tammy Slaton wasn’t using her oxygen tubes properly during the family vacation
Reddit users quickly came to the conclusion that Tammy Slaton couldn’t breathe because she wasn’t properly wearing her oxygen device. The 1000-Lb. Sisters star contracted COVID-19 during the height of the pandemic. As a result, she often depends on her oxygen tank to help her breathe.
The original Reddit post features a screenshot of Tammy sitting in the van. Her oxygen device is up around her forehead, instead of near her nose where it belongs.
“Uh, Tammy, I don’t think that’s how you wear one of those…” the original post reads. Many other Reddit users quickly chimed in that that was likely the cause of Tammy’s sudden illness.
“This must have been when she was having trouble breathing🙄🙄,” said one user.
“I think it’s horrifying with how little shame Tammy makes up lies AFTER something happened. Sure, you were suffocating up on thjs mountain because the air was too thin. I’m sure that’s also why you rather stayed in a stuffy car than to go in a well aired room,” commented another.
From the moment the episode aired, fans already felt frustrated with Tammy’s antics. No matter what her family did to coax her out of the van, nothing seemed to work. Will this be the straw that breaks the camel’s back?
The family appears to have a great vacation anyway
Even though Tammy’s siblings are frustrated with her actions, it really seems like they had a great vacation in Tennessee. Amy Halterman recently posted a photo dump of their vacation. Fans really had a great time looking at the old-fashioned photos the family took together.
The men wore cowboy hats while the women dressed up as beautiful saloon girls. There’s just someone missing — Tammy. It didn’t seem like the family was able to convince their sister to come along for the dress-up session.
