Little People, Big World alum Audrey Roloff has a parenting question about her daughter, Ember, 4. While Audrey is now a mom to three and has lots of experience with her own kids, she occasionally runs into something unfamiliar and decides to ask fans about it.

Thanks to her time on TLC’s LPBW and her being a part of the Roloff family, Audrey has an impressive 1.5 million followers on Instagram. So, anytime she has a concern about pregnancy, breastfeeding, parenting, or anything else, she can hop online and ask for some advice. Of course, her followers seem to be happy to help.

Audrey’s latest inquiry, however, is a little bit trickier. She’s asking about something that Ember does sometimes and wants to make sure it’s normal. She thinks it might even be a hidden skill. So, what is mom Audrey worried about, and what does it all mean?

Audrey Roloff wonders about Ember’s handwriting.

In a new snap on her Instagram stories, Audrey shared a photo of Ember’s handwriting beside a drawing. The four-year-old wrote her name, but all of the letters and her name are backward.

Along with the photo, Audrey asks, “Anyone else’s kid do this every now and then? She writes it correctly 90% of the time but then 10% she does this! I feel like this actually takes skill to do.”

Because Audrey has posted this photo to her Instagram stories rather than her regular feed, fans can’t publicly comment. Instead, they can message her directly with their thoughts. So, it’s unclear what kind of response the LPBW alum received.

Understood.organ organization that focuses on “learning and thinking differences,” says that mirror writing is normal in early childhood. The source notes, “But when they still frequently write backwards or upside down beyond age 7, it could signal trouble with reading or language.”

Understood.org also points out that writing letters backward is not a sign of dyslexia. In most cases, children will outgrow letter reversal and write correctly by about second grade. Because Ember is only in preschool, it sounds like this is totally normal and nothing for Audrey to worry about.

So, do you think that Audrey Roloff’s daughter Ember is especially skilled because she can write her name backward with the letters flipped, too? Or do you think it’s just something that kids accidentally do sometimes? Share your thoughts in the comments section below. For more news about the Roloff family, come back to TV Shows Ace.
