My 600-Lb. Life introduces us to a man named Ontreon Shannon tonight. He is 36-years-old and he lives in Plano, Texas. Speaking to the cameras, he reveals that he takes more than a dozen medications just to keep himself alive. He struggles with congestive heart failure and diabetes. His wife Musa tells the cameras he wants to start a family with her, but she needs him to lose the weight first so he can be more involved.
Ontreon Shannon tells the cameras multiple doctors have shut him out telling him there was nothing else they could do for him. He has also been told he would be lucky to live until he reaches the age of 40 because of his heart, weight, and other health conditions.
When the episode comes to an end with Ontreon Shannon weighing more than he weighed during the first visit with Dr. Now… Viewers fear the worst for the future of this particular TLC cast member. In fact, some viewers fear this is another cast member that may eventually be reported dead if something drastic doesn’t happen to make him change his ways.

Fans assume this was another convenient episode filmed amid the pandemic with a cast member that lived close to Houston, Texas. This was a cast member that wasn’t required to move to see Dr. Now. With the episode not ending on a happy note, fans wonder where Ontreon Shannon is now and if there is a 2022 update on him. Has he lost any weight? More importantly, fans wonder if he’s dead or alive.
Doing a bit of deep diving, we were able to find social media profiles that confirmed Ontreon Shannon was still alive. He had posted on his profile as little as 24 hours ago. His wife Musa was also fairly active on her own profile. So, we can confirm Ontreon Shannon is not dead and very much still alive at the time his episode was filmed. His profile, however, does not suggest he is a man still on a weight loss journey.
