Dancing With The Stars pro Lindsay Arnold turned 28 on January 11. She received many well-wishes from friends, family, and costars, but there was one sweet birthday wish that really stood out. Her Season 30 partner Matt James had something very kind to say to the mother of one. Even though their time together on the show was short, they seem to have a close bond.

Matt James and Lindsay Arnold definitely got close during DWTS Season 30
Lindsay Arnold and Matt James did fairly well during their run on Dancing With The Stars. However, they went home during the Disney Week eliminations. They finished in 12th place out of 15 couples but got to know one another quite well during their time on the show.
To commemorate Lindsay’s birthday, Matt uploaded a series of photos of the two on Instagram. He captioned the photos, “There are friends, there is family, and then there are friends that become family 💙 Happy Birthday @lindsarnold 😊🥳🎂”
It really seems like Matt James and Lindsay Arnold formed a genuine friendship. In another Instagram post on Matt’s page, you can see him skiing with Lindsay and his girlfriend Rachael Kirkconnell. In another photo, he’s holding Lindsay’s one-year-old daughter, Sage.
Many DWTS partners get along but part ways after the season ends. It seems like Matt and Lindsay have plans to keep hanging out for the foreseeable future.
The Bachelor star credited his girlfriend with his DWTS success
As we previously reported, Matt James says he wouldn’t have the courage to compete on Dancing With The Stars without the support of his partner, Rachael Kirkconnell.
“I couldn’t imagine being out there without her being there,” Matt told Us Weekly back in November. “She came to every performance, she was picking me up from practice. She was a rider.”
He went on to say that he would love to see Rachael compete on Dancing With The Stars sometime in the future. Matt added that he thinks “she would knock it out of the park.”
Bachelor Nation fans didn’t love how Matt James and Lindsay Arnold exited the show, but Matt insists there is no bad blood between him and the rest of the show.
“You really become a part of that community when they invite you in to be a part of Dancing With The Stars,” he continued. “I’m gonna be upset about everybody leaving because I love everybody. … You’ve got a bunch of talented pros and stars, so I’m interested in seeing how everything shapes up. There’s a bunch of people who can take that mirrorball [trophy] home and I think everyone’s going to be upset [when] people go home who they think had a shot to [win] it.”
He came back for the finale and can be seen in many photos cheering on the new champions, Daniella Karagach and Iman Shumpert.
