Jessa Seewald Defends ‘Personal Choice’ Amid Pregnancy Criticism
Former TLC’s Counting On star Jessa Seewald hasn’t been holding back when it comes to the haters and trolls recently. She has racked up plenty of hateful comments online, but she’s sticking up for herself and trying to correct inaccurate claims against her and her family.
As we reported, Jessa and her husband, Ben, purchased a fixer-upper for their growing family. They shared a YouTube video about it this week, sharing the news with fans. However, since sharing the video, the couple has received a lot of heat for many different things. Some of the negative comments are about Jessa’s father paying for the house, though she claims that’s just a rumor.
Jessa also clapped back when a fan questioned her financial situation and claimed she was “unemployed.” While the Duggars often receive negative comments online, they don’t always reply. But Jessa seems to be very interested in setting the record straight this time.
One comment came in about Jessa being pregnant, and she’s defending her choice to have a large family. So, what does Jessa have to say?

In the video, Jessa shows the bathroom of the fixer-upper, and her baby bump is visible in the mirror. However, the video was uploaded on January 11, 2022 while Jessa was last pregnant in 2021. She welcomed her fourth child, Fern, in July 2021. So, it’d be quite a surprise if she was pregnant again already and if her bump was as big now as it was in her video. After all, she was almost full-term when the family started filming from the fixer-upper.
It seems that some fans didn’t realize that, though. In one comment, a fan wrote, “What pregnant again. Oh my lord. Where and when are you going to get time to heal. Is it absolutely not possible for you to be intimate and not make a baby every time?”
In response, Jessa clapped back. The former TLC star wrote, “Thanks for the concern. I’m not pregnant–this video starts off with footage from last summer. But even if I did decide to have another baby, is that not my personal choice?”
