The Below Deck franchise is expanding. Viewers want to know more about the new series that’s taking place down under. For the first time ever, the show will charter its yacht in Australia. The original series first premiered in 2013 and has spawned many spinoffs over the years.

Surprisingly, it’s one of the most popular franchises on Bravo. The reality series follows the lives of crew members as they work on a luxury superyacht. Most of these trips take place in warm waters. However, there could be a series that shows them working in ice-cold waters.

But for now, the focus is on new the spinoff series, Below Deck Down Under. The show will stream on Peacock and show the ups and downs of working on a superyacht in Australia.

What to know about this new spinoff series

The show will stream soon on Peacock. However, little is known about the show. The list of crew members hasn’t been announced by now. There was speculation that former Below Deck Mediterranean star Hannah Ferrier would reprise her role as the chief stew. She’s been spotted filming on a yacht in Australia. But she’s currently living her life as a new mom.

There were also rumors that Chef Leon Walker could also make a comeback. He last appeared on Below Deck Season 3. He was fired in the middle of the charter season for ignoring the preferences of the charter guests. Former chief stew Kate Chastain would fondly refer to him as “Chef Beef Cheeks.”

He was known for his bland and uninspired dishes. So, it’ll be interesting to see if he has grown from his last time on the show. It’ll also be interesting to see if any of the fan favorites from their native country will make an appearance. Some of the fellow Aussies include Francesca Rubi, Izzy Wouters, Ashling Lorger, Alli Dore, and Dani Soares.

The franchise promises to give its viewers the same experience that they witnessed on Below Deck for many years. This time, the focus will be on Australia’s beautiful coast and its friendly people. Unfortunately, there hasn’t been an announcement of when the premiere date is. Yet, fans have a good idea of when to expect it.

Over the weekend, a Reddit user shared a photo of a promotional photo in Sydney, Australia. It hints that the new series will premiere on January 28, 2022, on a streaming platform called Hayu. It would make sense for Peacock to premiere the show here in the U.S. on the same day.
