Little People, Big World star Matt Roloff is proud to show off his newest grandchild, Mateo Tomás. He shared a new post with fans, which includes the very first photo of himself with Mateo.
As we reported, Jacob and Isabel Roloff welcomed their first baby to the world in early December. They shared their big news with fans via social media. Though the end of Isabel’s pregnancy caused a lot of anxiety, everything seems to be great now. The new mom shared an update, reflecting on her first month of motherhood.
Since the baby arrived, fans have seen a few updates about him. Around the holiday season, Amy Roloff snapped a few photos with him. Plus, Jacob and Isabel have shared a little bit about him, too. Now, it’s Matt’s turn to share some special time with the newest Roloff.

In an Instagram post on Friday, Matt shared an exciting update with fans. He’s getting to enjoy some quality time with his newest grandchild, Mateo. The proud grandpa writes, “Got to hang out with this little dream boat today.. he looks like a bear.. but his name is Mateo. A big nod to his grandpa.”
In the photo, Matt is sitting down at his desk while holding the new baby. Mateo is all bundled up in a cozy bear suit. The grandpa looks very happy to have some time with his grandson.
In the comments section of Matt’s post, fans are commenting on how sweet the little guy looks. They’re glad to see Grandpa Matt looking so happy, too. He truly seems to enjoy all of the time he gets with his grandchildren. One fan writes, “I thought you were holding a teddy bear!🧸 Congrats Grandpa!” Others point out that they love the baby’s name in honor of Matt.
As you might know, Jacob and Isabel have decided to give their baby some privacy, so they will not be showing his face online. They have asked their family members to do the same. Amy’s post followed their rules, and so does Matt’s.
