Rumors Soar Maurissa Gunn, Riley Christian Have Split, Here’s Why
Could there be another split in Bachelor Nation happening? Rumors are flying Friday afternoon that Maurissa Gunn and Riley Christian have called it quits. They appeared to be the strongest couple to emerge from the summer spinoff of The Bachelor. What’s going on and why do fans think this?
Did Maurissa Gunn and Riley Christian break up?
A new TikTok is soaring around indicating that there could be trouble in paradise for fan-favorite couple Maurissa Gunn and Riley Christian. It seems Maurissa Gunn has done a social media cleanse. In other words, Maurissa deleted all her recent photos of Riley. Only a few remain on her Instagram.
This isn’t the only clue though. Maurissa also posted an Instagram Story within the past few hours that says “All that glitters is not gold.” Cryptic message? A lot of fans are thinking so. Plus, she shared another story featuring a video of her holding her phone looking in the mirror and she’s not wearing an engagement ring.
Maurissa also posted a few selfies Friday morning and said, “Don’t worry, be happy.” Fans commented on the post speculating that she and Riley called it quits.
So far, there is no confirmation that the split actually happened. However, it looks like that may be the case. There haven’t been any photos together since the holidays. So far they are still following one another on Instagram.
The way they were
Riley and Maurissa made each other swoon on Bachelor in Paradise this summer. They even hit up the boom boom room on their first date. The couple was inseparable from that point and got engaged on the season finale. They became the first engaged Black couple on the franchise.
Since then they have been together nonstop. They share tons with fans including their Sunday morning breakfasts which became their normal.
Maurissa and Riley seemed to be a power couple who got along very well. They were planning their future together and even talking about how many kids they wanted to have. They’d met each other’s families and gotten their approval as well.
Perhaps everything isn’t always as it seems. Right now their breakup remains speculation. Perhaps Riley and Maurissa will make an official announcement soon or prove they are still together.
