Could Salley Carson Return To ‘The Bachelor’ After Rejecting Rose?
Monday night was Clayton Echard’s premiere as The Bachelor. Prior to the limo entrances ever taking place, one contestant was having second thoughts and wanted to speak with Clayton. She was allowed to and Salley Carson explained that she was previously engaged and her wedding was supposed to have been September 26. Clayton offered her a rose and after thinking it over and making a phone call she turned him down. So, she self-eliminated before night one ever happened. However, fans are wondering if she will be back given that she said she felt a connection with Clayton. Keep reading to find out more.
Will Salley Carson return to The Bachelor?
Reality Steve shared details about Salley Carson before Clayton Echard’s season even finished filming. He knew that she was engaged to Avery Bucholz and the wedding was set for September 26. She even celebrated with a bachelorette party in Mexico the week of August 14. Just a little more than a month later the names for Clayton’s season were released.
Steve even shared that when she went into quarantine for The Bachelor that her profile picture on Facebook was still one of her and Avery. Steve also said “Avery was even making cryptic comments on Twitter that day when it was all reported, basically inferring they weren’t even broken up. Then 2 months later, Salley and Avery were together at a friends 40th bday party in Mexico.” Photos of them in Mexico were shared in November 2021. It’s not clear if the two have reconnected since.
Steve says it appears that Salley and Avery were never really over. She perhaps went on the show to get back at him or really believe she was over the breakup. Either way, Salley made the right decision not accepting Clayton’s rose.
Steve also shared that while the show made it seem like she spoke with Clayton just before the rose ceremony, she did not. It was not even the same day according to Steve.
So, will she return? Many fans instantly started believing that she would change her mind and show back up later in the season. Those who follow Reality Steve know that it’s not true or likely. He has given spoilers up to Clayton’s fantasy suite dates and there appear to be no huge surprises. Salley is almost definitely history.

Salley’s ABC bio said, “Salley is a real-life Meredith Grey looking for her McDreamy. [She] keeps a tight circle of friends that she likes to have dinner and drinks with but is a career-focused girl who is usually in bed by 11 p.m.”
Salley grew up in Charlottesville, Virginia. After graduating from the University of South Carolina in 2017, she attended Medical Sales College.
She and her ex-fiance Avery both work in the medical field. He is the assistant professor of neurosurgery at the University of Virginia Health System after earning a Doctor of Medicine and a Master’s in Public Health from the University of Wisconsin. Salley is a spine surgery robot operator.
