Andy Cohen SHUTS DOWN Kelly Dodd’s ‘RHOC’ Shade
Andy Cohen isn’t here for Kelly Dodd’s shade about the RHOC reboot. See what he said to shut down her diss about Season 16.
RHOC reboots without Kelly Dodd
The Real Housewives of Orange County was the very first incarnation of the popular Bravo Housewives franchise. Following Season 14, the network cut ties with OG Vicki Gunvalson and long-time cast member Tamra Judge.
Following a poorly-received Season 15, Andy Cohen teased a ‘reboot’ that ultimately cut three RHOC stars, including controversial Kelly Dodd.
During 2020, the reality star came under fire for her comments comparing the pandemic deaths to “God thinning the herd,” and other offensive comments.
Viewers demanded the network fire Dodd and she wasn’t asked to return for Season 16. Braunwyn Windham-Burke and Elizabeth Lyn Vargas were also given the boot.
Shannon Beador, Emily Simpson, and Gina Kirschenheiter were the only three RHOC stars returning from Season 15. Bravo brought back former star Heather Dubrow after several years’ absence.
Newbies Jen Armstrong, Noella Bergener, and Nicole James round out Season 16.
Friendship between Bravolebrity and host Andy Cohen turns nasty
There was a time before Kelly Dodd’s firing that Bravo executive and host extraordinaire stood up for her. When angry fans confronted him over Dodd’s behavior, he cited free speech.
Heavy reports that in November, Kelly Dodd said she was “cool” with Andy. However, their friendship has cooled considerably since then.
In fact, the two had a testy exchange on Twitter over the RHOC reboot. What happened?

Despite not being on the Bravo show, Kelly Dodd is clearly still keeping tabs on her former co-stars. She regularly posts her thoughts on her social media about Heather Dubrow’s return.
In a recent tweet to Andy Cohen, Dodd seemed to take issue with Season 15’s poor ratings being blamed on her.
“Wait, wasn’t I the ratings problem? Wasn’t there a boycott?” she wrote while sharing an article about low Season 16 ratings.

On Tuesday, December 28, Andy Cohen jumped on his Twitter early in the morning to respond to Dodd’s claims.
“Reboot going great,” Cohen wrote. “Look at the delayed ratings, not live,” he further suggested to the former RHOC star.
Bravoholics LOVED his shady response to Kelly Dodd. His followers posted numerous gifs admiring his polite but direct tweet. Many used gifs from various Housewives franchises. One of the most popular responses was a gif of former RHOC star Vicki Gunvalson saying “(BLEEP) you, Kelly Dodd. (BLEEP) you.”
